Tear MenderTTB-6-D-B Instant Fabric and Leather Adhesive, 6 oz Bottle, TG06H

This stuff really works! I think you could glue your whole project together and never have to worry about sewing at all. I use it to keep my to leather pieces together while I am sewing them together, I have used it it patch my husband's jeans , they have been through countless washings and the patch looks the same as when I put it on. I love this stuff. I ought a 2oz bottle then a 6oz bottle now this is my second 6 oz bottle. I haven't noticed much of a smell. Tear mender is pretty easy to use it only takes a small amount so you can actually use your finger to dab it on your piece if you are patching a small hole. It is kind of a thin liquid so it will run so you do need to be careful of that.

First impression of this fabric adhesive is that it works well. Adhesion on fabric like denim is quick. I’ll have to see how well it holds up in the laundry still. It has the consistency and look of Elmer’s all purpose white glue…but sticks much faster. Easy to clean or wipe up. I just wish it was a bit thicker. That would make it easier to work with and to stay in place while you were applying it. It is very runny. It will soak through the fabric and may show on the opposite side, so use sparingly if this might be a problem. I like the fact that it’s non-toxic - unlike many other fabric adhesives I’ve tried. I used it to re-stick some iron-on patches that were coming loose as well as mending some frayed hems. I think this could be used as an anti-fray edge seam treatment as well. Dried clear. Time will tell if this become my go-to fabric glue. It has good reviews around the internet depending on the application it’s used for.

I bought this as my other glue was running low, I like the quick cure time they claimed, as most other glues requires 24 hours. It took a few months before I was able to open this glue, still in its original plastic bag, and cut the tip to use it. I had high hope because of all the good reviews, when I shook it, I could feel something solid inside bouncing around. After a good shake, all I got was some thin liquid coming out, which had no bonding ability.I eventually cut the bottle open, and found the product had mostly cured inside the bottle into a big chunk of soft rubber-like material, surrounded by thin liquid. It was pass the return window, so I had to pitch the entire 6-oz bottle.I went on their website to check, they said it is best to use it within one year. Mine was well within that window, so I suspect it might have been old stock that had been on the shelve for some time. Unfortunately, it has no expiration date, so you really don't know what you get.I cannot attest to the good results others got, but I would suggest not to buy this until when you are ready to use it immediately, so you can exchange it if it is old stock. And once you have it open, you should plan to use it up very quickly. I bought the 6-oz bottle, in retrospect, I should have gone with the 2 oz version.

Glued a piece of carpet on my boat and repaired a tear in a cloth bag. It worked great.

Best fabric adhesive i have ever used by far! My husband is an iron worker and constantly getting rips in his pants. He told me some of the guys on one of his jobs would grab a patch, apply some Tear Mender, slap the patch over the hole and go straight back to work, so of course I had to see this for myself! When I received it and opened it up, I initially thought he must have been mistaken because it is a VERY thin viscosity and any other fabric adhesives I have used were much thicker; in my mind thicker adhesive should work better than a thin one, right? WRONG! He was right about it being able to instantly adhere and stay put, but the even bigger surprise came when I patched a hole and, without thinking, threw them in the wash that same evening.😬 (most others say you must wait at least 24 hrs, preferably 48 before washing) But to my surprise, patch was still there after washing & drying and shows no signs of loosening at this point, 3 months later!! Also, the thinness results in needing to use MUCH LESS than if you were using a thicker one because it spreads out on the fabric when applied. Highly recommend!
