I bought this specifically for sourdough and am very pleased with it. I rubbed the banneton with flour and had no problem releasing the dough. It held its shape nicely, and the imprint from the rings is a nice touch on the baked bread.

What an inexpensive, wonderful banneton! It creates the most lovely pattern on sourdough bread (I use it heavily floured without the liner… the liner works well as a cover for the top!). Easy to clean with the provided utensils.

Afraid of sticking, but dough came out great. Newbie to sourdough - very pleased with outcome!

The attached implements are cheap, again for occasional use is fine, for everyday use would not recommend. The Bannon itself is adequate with the cover. Hand wash.

I was looking for a second banneton for my sourdough making and this fit the bill! It's sturdy and the perfect round shape. I love that it came with the lame and brush. I wasn't originally going to buy the "kit" version but I'm glad I spent the few extra dollars for the tools. The lame is cheaper and on a plastic handle so it's not ideal long term, but it made a mean cut! I had the best ear on my sourdough, better than my more expensive lame. Also the brush helped to get more floor evenly into the grooves. I recommend it!

I love the size of these baskets. They are just big enough to hold a loaf of dough without making it too slack. They provide excellent surface tension which allows the bread to hold its shape better when baked. Will be ordering another set so I can bake more loaves at a time! Excellent buy.

These are so cute! I haven't been able to use them just yet because I am still in the process of making my first sourdough starter. However, they are real wicker. I know because when they were delivered I wasn't home. My dogs got the package and tried to chew through the box to get them. Luckily, the seller packaged them very well and they only got through one box. lol The oval basket has one bite mark! 😂 So I know they are wicker! I love the whisk it comes with and the razor blade! I can't wait to put designs on my bread! I make bread every day so I'll be using the blade on my other breads as well! I will admit the proofing baskets are smaller than I thought they would be, but after looking at the reviews I guess they are normal size for sourdough. I definitely recommend this set if you are starting to make sourdough like I am. It comes with everything you need!

Super Ware

Originally I bought one from China but it never arrived so I decided to pay a bit more and buy one from Prime. This arrived the next day and is good quality. The basket is solid and I have been using the liner each time I proof and then just putting it in the washing machine so less mess. During lockdown Ive started making sour dough, a few loaves a week and was using my colander with a tea towel in for the proofing. This is much better and takes up less room. Creates a good proof. too. Have been using the knife to score the bread before baking but not used the brush.

J ai bien reçu le banneton aujourd'hui,par contre le pinceau livré avec est cassé,et a été mis cassé avant l envoi , sinon ,je suis content de la qualité du banneton.
