Great Entry Datalogging Multimeter
Hello all,The FLIR DM 93 was my alternative to the much desired Fluke 287 though for the price, features, and lack of Proprietary software, Flir was my choice. The FLIR Meter rivals the Fluke with similar features though with the added VFD feature and Bluetooth connectivity for data transferring. The meter includes a probe alert with an optical sensor to notify the user if the test Lead is in the wrong bung akin to the Fluke. The DC and AC measurements are quite accurate but slightly less than the Fluke. The Datalogging can store 20,000 data points total though no less than 1s intervals. However, through Bluetooth, I can the data recorded and Flir tools app will create a graph of whatever measurement was observed (Temperature, AC/DC Voltage, Resistance,...). You can then download the data in a CSV file for excel use and post-processing. The Fluke would require a special data transfer IR tool and then additional software for it's use and all of it is proprietary where as the Flir software comes standard, is basic, but functional. The FLIR also comes with a lifetime warranty once registered equivalent to the Fluke. The downsides of the Flir are small but notable; the continuity tester is somewhat slow to react compared to an unbeatable speed observed on a fluke, the Auto-Voltage function which is on standard until deactivated on all Voltage selections slows the update speed of the meter's display to roughly 2-3 fps. Once you deactivate the Auto-Voltage setting, and leave the meter in Auto ranging, the update speed is very fast comparable to the 287 though without digit ghosting. Overall, a great meter that I will use for technical projects for my lifetime. mjlorton has great videos on YouTube for reviews on this meter and the 287 however I did find the continuity feature as fast as showed in the video however that works out. Hope this helps someone!

Read the manual :)
I'm just getting started, but I'm definitely impressed with the feature set. Installed the FLIR Tools App on my iPhone (7+, running iOS 11.1.1) & started recording measurements without any problems. Read the manual, it helps tremendously. There are features that you would never discover or appreciate without reading the manual.

Excellent product, very impressed with the function of this ...
Excellent product, very impressed with the function of this unit. I work in the aerospace industry and trouble shooting is a daily ordeal. I was looking for another remote display because my Fluke 233 was constantly crapping out. The Bluetooth function works flawlessly. May be a little more advanced than most need as it has a ton of functions, but it's great for my job.
