Overall the book is well worth the money. Good quality photos.Nice section on life saving equipment. Including the super rare Parasuit.One or two omissions of important flying clothing of the period.No mention of the 1930 pattern flying helmet, which was used by Battle of Britain aircrew.Missing too, the use of private purchase flying helmets.No mention of the 1930 pattern flying boots.It would have been nice to see an interior photo of the D Type oxygen mask.No mention of 1925 pattern webbing equipment or the officer’s pattern (WEO).

Good book with plenty of photos detailing the flying equipment used in the Battle of Britain. Would have liked to have a book detailing British flying equipment used in WW2 but that’s another book. The book is not expensive and given the quality of the colour photos is a very useful reference guide and good value for money
