OK, better than nothing
I only needed an exterior temperature sensor and battery indicator that's illuminated for night time driving, and this is the best I could find.I believe the temperature sensors are good. Every morning they (interior and exterior) both indicate the exact same temperature - which is good. I already have a clock on my dash and one on my external GPS so I don't need the one that comes with the unit, but it's surprisingly accurate - more accurate than the one on my vehicle. The drawback with these units that have a clock is that they require a small battery which will have to be replaced eventually. I think a unit with just an exterior temperature and battery indicator wouldn't require a battery.I had a hard time finding a good position for the external sensor. It needs to be away from the heat of the engine, and the problem I found is that when you stop at a light the heat from the engine compartment spills out everywhere, which could affect your temperature if you have the sensor in a bad position. The interior sensor, while accurate, is useless, actually worse than useless. It picks up the temperature where it's placed, which isn't the temperature of the air that's around you, so it's always reporting what it feels, not what you feel.. The biggest problem to me is that when I glance at the instrument I see two temperatures and I have to remember which one is the interior temperature (which I don't care about), and the exterior temperature (which is what I'm interested in).Another note on the temperature display/sensor. It uses one of those "cheap" processors that doesn't show every degree F - it skips every other degree F most of the time. It's not broken, that's just the way these cheaper units work. The back lighted display works OK at night. When you vehicle is really hot the display will fade away, but eventually comes back. The swivel stand is a good idea, but poor implementation. It needs a metal screw to hold the head in place so it doesn't move around when you have it set.The unit defaults to show the temperature in C, but you can push a button to have it show the temperature in F. When the little internal battery inside of it dies it won't remember to show the temperature in F, but will show it in C.I hooked it up to my vehicle power so it turns on when I turn on the key - no need to worry about it draining any power from my vehicle battery when the vehicle is off (I only drive this vehicle once or twice a week). To summarize: the display is OK at night and works well except when it's hot, the internal temperature is not helpful at all, the exterior temperature/sensor is OK if you place it properly but it won't show each degree F, the battery indicator seems to be OK, the mount is a good idea but needs better support, for the price it's what I expected and better than nothing.

Nice for the price, one function wasn't accurate.
For this price point, the quality was decent. The display is clear, the blue backlight isn't quite even, it's brightest in the center and a little dimmer at the edges. It's bright enough without being too bright, good because it can't be dimmed. The only thing I found a little annoying about the display is the backlight leaks out around the edges of the display bezel. The viewing angle from below is limited so if you plan to mount this on an overhead console you have to make sure you can adjust it so you view it head-on.There are no installation instructions so you have to rely on common sense. FWIW the best place for the sensor is usually under the front bumper in a spot where air will flow over it while driving, but out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. The sensor cord is 9.5 feet long so this might not be possible on larger vehicles. The operating instructions are a joke, one of the absolute worst translations I've ever seen, ("Love to sleep function of 5 minutes.") then again this isn't a complicated device, the functions are basic and intuitive, easy to learn. The base mounts with sticky tape, you'd be better off replacing this with Velcro. My only real complaint is the accuracy. The unit is less than 20 bucks so I didn't expect perfection but the inside temperature display reads 5 degrees too high which I felt could be better. I bought this primarily for outside temp which was within 1 degree, so I shrug and subtract 5 degrees for the inside. The voltage display was about 0.5v too low across the range. All my measurements were with calibrated lab equipment. I cut off the lighter plug and wired it direct - I noticed there's no fuse. The lighter circuit is fused at a much higher current than a device like this uses so consider it essentially unprotected by a fuse.Overall, given the price I'm satisfied - I knocked off one star because of the inside temp difference and my other nits.

SansSpeed Non Computer
Re: SainSpeed 7054V Compact 3-in-1 Car Computer. This item is a piece of junk. I knew immediately upon unpacking it and seeing the paper that it was another cheap Chinese trinket. The print is so small and it appears that they were running out of ink that it is almost illegible. Mostly I ordered it because of its appearance and price but no matter what I did the time would not set, I could not get it out of Celcius and none of the up or down functions would change anything. I'm not even going to waste my time sending it back. And while I'm on it, Amazon's freight choices is quite lacking as well. It doesn't seem to make a difference which mode of transportation they use, other than next day air possibly, they don't want to disappoint you and get it there sooner than projected. The tracking shows that it can stay a day or two at one location. They don't want to disappoint you and have it arrive earlier than their projection. The last two items that I've ordered have come FedEx. I watch it go right by my house and straight to the post office so that they can take another day to deliver it.Think of the jobs that we could generate if we would build honest, dependable wares at home in the good ol' USA!

Will not stay in place/doesn't read temperature
This product works as advertised. I installed it by running the sensor wire through the door trim, and placing the sensor on the outside door jam between the front and back door. I direct connected the power to the system controlled by the ignition system. However, a huge downfall of this product: It doesn't stay put. I had stuck it to the top of my windshield, where it only stayed for two days. It would not re-attach since the glue of the two-way pad came off on the window. I will now need to either use a windshield glue to hold it in place, or to place it somewhere else. Update: The device is VERY slow to change its temperature reading, especially the interior reading. It takes over half an hour to reach the proper readout. I cannot recommend this product for anything other than a voltage reader and a clock. Further update: The device will now no longer holds its position (pivot on the back), and it constantly falls out of the base. I finally took it out of the car so my son could have something to play with.
