Kemper Tools LT5 Number 5 Loop Tool Pkg

I bought this because I needed to core pears. My great grandmother had something like this and it's perfect to clean the pears for canning.

Out of the box this tool was not very sharp. Clay must be more than leather hard to get consistent trimming.

I used this Kemper tool for encaustic artwork. In the beginning it worked well. The tool certainly could have been more sharp but after 2 months it was leaving lines in my wax and then the metal loop portion just pulled out of the handle. I am trying to find a replacement that is a similar size but will hold up better. I have used Kemper ribbon tools that are smaller and can do more detailed work. Those tools have held up great, but they haven't received the same hard use as this tool. For the price I was expecting it to last more than 3 months. A disappointment.

Pretty solid and exactly what you’re needing. I personally like mine a bit shaper.

This is the BEST tool for thinning the walls of a pumpkin! It is great for traditional carving, thinner walls means easier cutting. But it is also great for the 3 tone pumpkins where some areas have thin enough walls to allow the light through. Everyone wanted to use this little tool. This the walls like peelin a potato - the “meat” is peeled out in long strips.

Exactly what you need to remove the core in pears either for serving or canning. So much more efficient and less wasteful that a paring knife or teaspoon. Easy to clean, too.

My son found these and so we ordered a pair so we could care pumpkins. He likes carving scenes into his pumpkins and last year it took a super long time to use our home made versions. He saw something like this on the cooking channel so we ordered them. They worked very well and made carving pumpkins much easier.

Purchased to carve pumpkins for halloween. Used this tool to take off the outer skin so we could sculpt the pumpkin.
