Design Engineering 010451 Titanium Pipe Shield - Exhaust Heat Shield, 6" X 2'

I bought this for my Thor Axis motorhome. I find the muffler way to the siding, it actualy touches. This should add a good level of protection. It fits perfectly and to my surprise the 3 clamps are big enough for a large E-350 exhaust pipe.

Had it on for 2 months when i did my next oil change i took it off and it was ripped, must have rubbed on the transmission or something. It looked very durable when i first received.

Seems to work well . More time has to pass using the product to see .

The scope of application was simple; shield the transmission pan of my 2015 GMC Sierra from the heat carried by the section of exhaust pipe that runs directly underneath it.The use of the heat shield will prove successful if it can actually deflect a major part of the heat carried through the exhaust pipe.I will take some heat readings at a later time.
