I'm the type who doesn't want to take steroids and body unfriendly prescription asthma medicines. I first resorted to Zyrtec and Claritin, but they can't keep my ashtma symptoms in check. Moreover, they make me feel dizzy and intoxicated. I ordered this brand of Nirgundi and another brand of the same herb. Both kept my asthma symptoms 100% in control. Finally, I my airways were completely open, no more gasping for breath, no more post nasal drips, and no more phlegm. Nirgundi is known in South Asia and SouthEast Asia as a very effective herb for relieving cough, keeping fever in check, and controlling allergy and asthma symptoms. It's also a liver tonic, so it's the exact opposite of most pharmaceutical drugs that destroy the liver. So, while this gets rid of my asthma problem, Nirgundi actually keeps my liver healthy! The difference between this brand and the other brand I bought is dosage. I only take 2x900mg capsules of this brand, and it works just as well as when I take 3 of those capsules in the other brand. I guess their special processing method helps with the potency of the powdered whole leaves. This is packaged as a powder, and I fill them into size 00 gelatin capsules myself. If you pack the size 00 capsule to full capacity, the approximate yeild is 900+ mg. This is a whole food herb, so even if you're 75mg + or - the 900mg approximation, it's not going to put your health in peril. The usual dose for Nirgundi is 1-2 teaspoons per day, which translates to 5000mg to 10000mg per day. That's just the normal dose. Therapeutic dose will be higher, but as you can see, I got my asthma under control without resorting to therapeutic dose.

It has a unique earthy taste which I actually really enjoy. I put it in a tea. Just hot water and Nirgundi. I have asthma, which is why I got it, and I feel it is helping. It has so many benefits that I feel it just simply raises my vibration. The company is great too, they sent a second order just in case mine was taking too long to ship because of covid. I like to mix this with reishi, cordyceps, stevia and a plant based milk for high high high vibe hot coco.

I have been selecting specific ayurvedic medicines for both general positive impacts and for specific impacts on arthritis. Nirgundi has made the cut even though it does not mix easily and tastes like what it is - ground up tree. On my kitchen scale, 1 tsp weighs 2.5 gr.
