YANKEETRADERS® Classic Butter Mint Candy, 2 Pound

Love these since I was a kid. Been craving them and shopping for them for a while and decided to buy some. I was glad I went with these. They are buttery and have a light minty flavor. They they aren't hard either they're still soft and will melt in your mouth. If you love buttermits you will like these.

I’ve ordered this brand before and I thought they were pretty good. I decided to order and do a subscription for every 8 weeks.Received them yesterday. Tried one last night~ it was horrible. I immediately spit it out. I can’t really describe the taste ~ something between a chemical taste & moth balls. They don’t even smell right. Obviously I cancelled my subscription. I hate leaving bad reviews - I bet I’ve only written 3 or 4 negative reviews in my life butthis was pretty nasty. I have no idea if I can return them for refund. I may check and see.Remember, I’ve ordered these numerous times and never had this issue so it’s very possible it was a fluke or a bad batch. I don’t think it could be due to being old because I found a bag in my pantry that had to be 3 years old and they were fine.I also tried another brand here on Amazon ~ I don’t remember the brand name ~ but they tasted much more like plain peppermint with no butter flavor at all.Who would think I could write this much about butter mints?

These mints are extremely hard and tasted like chemicals. At no time did I get that buttery, sweet taste that I was expecting from this purchase. Extremely disappointed. Would not purchase these again and would not recommend them.

I am very happy to have found mints that are not only buttery and minty but fresh. None of the other brands I tried met all 3 criteria. These are soft enough to melt in your mouth.

Sadly, these are not what I was expecting. They were not soft like butter mints should be, and they sure did not taste like butter. The first thing you taste is mint. The butter mints that I remember when I was young were much softer and first you tasted butter With the perfect blend of mint. The mint did not overpower like these do and they would melt in your mouth without having to suck on them or chew them. These are not that -sadly I don’t think true buttermints exist anymore.

Was hoping for more of creamy buttercream taste, but got a more peppermint flavor instead. Not bad if you're wanting butter colored mints. If you like peppermint puffs these will not disappoint. I enjoy them.

Buying different buttermints and this is the truest to the original. Not too minty like a breath mint, chalky (almost like what I remember 40 years ago it being like), refreshing but not over powering. So many wonderful things about having a sweet that I can share with my family that we all enjoy and can reminisce with. Also can give it to younger kids and not worry about them wasting it or crying because it's too minty. Texture is not 100% like back in the day you might feel slight bumbs if your a texture person but still melts relatively the same.

These mints are were ordered in place of another brand that I usually order. The other brand was out of stock and so I decided to try these and I am glad that I did. These butter mints have a very nice texture. They melt and are on the softer side. I will definitely order these again.
