Very good scanner
My initial review, I'll add more 6 months from now; Overall *very* good scanner. Does it scan from longer distances, no 2 to 16 inches it works great do the batteries last a week. No if you're doing non stop scanning you'll need to recharge after about 4-5 hours. But it works great. Think of the size of the thing. Not enough room to put huge batteries in it. It reads all barcodes and QR codes and reads them quickly it also reads 'on screen'. And it actually reads better than my Zebra DS22's. and has 4 ways to connect! onboard bluetooth, dongle bluetooth, 2.4 wireless, corded. Pretty impressive for something so small. After I've used for some time I'll update here. But for now, it's a great product. Especially if you're not a heavy scanner.

Can't scan, won't scan, but it can be used as a flashlight instead.
Really liked the form factor for this scanner, but it has three major flaws. One: it is bright. Could literally hold the button and this would just be a regular flashlight with a little optical/laser reader of some sort. Could probably be used as some sort of self-defense device if the reader was laser based along with the flashlight. Two: turning off the light means it can't read ANY barcodes. There's a way to turn off the light by finding the online manual for an older revision of this device. However, doing so means losing the scanning ability in dimmer rooms or places with a little less light. I'm not talking about a pitch black room, but if there's any chance of being on the wrong side of the room where something is partially casting a shadow; good luck scanning anything in this mode. Three: just refuses to scan even with the flashlight mode is turned on. I think each attempt took maybe 3-7 times just to get a scan. I find that I have to hold the scanner maybe 5-8 inches away from a barcode before it scans (can't be too close) and sometimes I have to hold down the button until it reads something (most times it won't). However, I needed this device to scan every time on good barcodes no matter how close I got to the barcode. The only saving graces for this scanner was that it was very small, it didn't need much setup, and would sometime scan digital barcodes on monitors/phone screens (detection was slightly better than on physical barcodes, but still needed distance). I just wished it worked better than it did.

It scans well, but not very far
Not bad for the price. It scans regular barcodes and QR codes, the latter scans much easier. It connects with your phone easily via bluetooth. I got it for use at work, but you can also use it to scan unknown QR codes to display the website on your phone's notepad without going to the site, so you can avoid any potential scams or viruses.

Works well, keeps a charge, just what I needed!
Title says it all. Works with my square app for easier checkout at craft shows, which is all I could ever hope it would do for me. Also, the way it works with my PC makes me think it would also be great for taking inventory, though I haven't tried that yet. Love how long it stays charged.

Just OK
If you have not used the Tera 8100, then I would rate this scanner much higher. It's only $20 less than the the 8100, but FAR less in terms of professional needs. It is tiny, so you have to find somewhere to put it between scans. It really struggles on some barcodes that the 8100 just eats up. It never failed to read them, but some took 15 to 30 seconds to get a read. That adds up when you have hundreds or thousands. Small size means small battery, expect to re-charge when you break for lunch or it wont last the day. IP66 rated and it appears so. It fails at any sort of user configuration besides 30 second timeout. I mean fails, as it wont scan anything if you stray beyond factory defaults. If you want a great scanner, Tera makes some good ones. Get the 8100 and a belt loop hammer holster and you have the fastest accurate scanner available for under $100. Important note: These scanners need some white space after the last tag of your barcode. If you print or cut it too close to the last tag, it wont read it.
