Naturopathic Oncology

To anyone battling cancer or has a family member battling cancer. This book is a must. Don't be fooled by the title "Naturopathic", it is that and a whole bunch more. Wish I had this book when I got diagnosed and before surgery, I would have done things very different to make sure my cancer didn't metastasis. While mainstream medicine is great, they won't tell you about other alternatives, in addition to mainstream medicine that you can do, to help treat your cancer. Research, read publications on PUB MED websites, and get informed. Cancer is more than just a genetic disease it is a metabolic one as well. I wish this would come in a Kindle version as well. WELL WORTH YOUR $$$$$

An amazing compilation of integrative/naturopathic interventions for cancer care. Dr. McKinney has documented a myriad of natural and complementary protocols for the various cancers plus provided vital information on chemotherapeutic drug depletions and interactions. For any integrative oncologist, M.D., naturopath or practitioner dealing with cancer patients, this book is a must. My only recommendation is that in subsequent editions, Dr. McKinney add a glossary of terms and acronyms.

An excellent reference for clinical practice. The book starts off with a great summary of the disease process of cancer and biochemical targets of treatment, then examines the various naturopathic treatment options, which is then followed by detailed treatment protocols for the various forms of cancer. The focus is on an integrative medicine approach to treating cancer and is based on the latest available scientific research.

This is a fantastic book for those who desire to be well informed about the world of oncology married to naturopathy. It gives you all the options for almost every type of cancer and how the two can work together, what to expect and plenty of studies backing the complementary procedures, botanicals and supplements. Dr. McKinney has saved me lots of research by putting together a comprehensive encyclopedia by offering a model of integrative cancer care that can help a patient make informed decisions about their own health.

Doctor wanted me to get the book and use it as a guide after I was diagnosed with cancer. The book explains things in a way that can easily be understood and is very informative.

This is a really informative book with a lot of detail and protocols Dr. McKenny suggests for nearly every aspect ofcancer and the integration with Alopathic medical oncology. A good purchase for me.

This book is a great source of information on anything you may want to know about dealing with cancer in a natural way or if it can be complementary with traditional treatments. I bought this to keep on hand as reference material.
