PlaqClnz Pre-Treatment Spray, 4-Ounce

Great product

In our grooming shop, we use this product, but anyone at home could do the same. At the beginning of a bath, we pump a squirt or two in each side the dogs mouth (little mouth, less, bigger mouth more). The longer it sits the better. Towards the end of the bath, we do some scaling, and with regular grooming, eventually the whole mouth is completed.When the plaque is really thick, it often comes off easily, like paint chips. There are some instances, where this product is not going to be the thing to use for severe periodontal disease, because removing the tartar/plaque will create a lot of bleeding. A vet should be employed for such cases. But for mild to fairly severe build-up, its a cost effective alternative to the service at the vet's office.In pets with just a little, soft film over the teeth, its a great product for maintenance, and will cause all that to brush off beautifully with pet toothpaste and a finger brush. It does freshen the breath of pets where scaling isn't tolerated, which is always nice. For dogs that like to chew, I recommend putting some of this is in their mouth and giving them their favorite bone to work off the plaque.

I have been using the gel PlaqClnz for quite a while. This spray method was ordered by mistake. But it is doing a better job on my dog's teeth. And she doesn't seem to mind it as much as she hated the gel. I'll continue with the spray. Thank you.

I purchased both the pre-treatment spray and the daily treatment gel at the same time. My collie develops tartar on her canine teeth very quickly. She has had one professional cleaning and I have been good at keeping her teeth looking healthy except for this problem on those teeth. Well I neglected them for too long and I was unable to get the tartar off of those teeths when I tried to clean them. Sometimes I have had luck with baking soda and peroxide, but this time, it wasn't budging. For one week, I sprayed her teeth with the pre-treatment twice a day, and put the gel on once a day. I did this for almost a full week and noticed no significant improvement. I didn't think the treatment was doing anything, when all at once, I am cleaning her teeth with the gel and a piece of gauze and as I am rubbing, clean white teeth appear! I was really pleased, but the other tooth was in much worse condition and I was not seeing any improvement. so I cleaned them with a baking soda and peroxide solution and then followed that up with rubbing the tooth with gauze and the gel and all the tartar was gone.I am extremely pleased with the product. and i do feel that if I would have just continued with my regime for another couple of days, the tartar probably would have come off without me having to use the baking soda and peroxide mixture. But I am a satisfied customer and will most definitely buy it again.

I REALLY DIDN'T NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE ON THE TARTER REMOVAL BUT HER BREATH DID SMELL A LITTLE BIT BETTER. I USED IT EVERYDAY FOR THREE WEEKS. I'M STILL USING IT BUT I DON'T THINK I'LL BUT IT AGAIN. MAYBE IT WILL WORK FOR SOMEONE ELSE.

Spray on pets gums and teeth, let soak for a bit, give dog a new bone or food to eat and the tartar will fall of the teeth easily

This product does work. It set on my dogs teeth about 45 minutes. Since I didn't have the spiffy delux irrigator tool, I simply used my fingernail. Large flakes of gunk came off!Just a word of caution, I spoke to my vet about this product. He said it does not clean above the gum line or address oral disease. Only a professional cleaning under sedation can treat these issues. As much as I'd like to get my girls the best possible care, a $350 vet bill isn't in the budget. Something certainly has to be better than nothing, and it did remove a lot of the buildup with the first use. We will definitely be continuing use.
