We are Water Protectors

Su ve doğanın önemini anlatan çok güzel bir kitap.

"We Are Water Protectors" contains absolutely stunning artwork featuring vibrant, optimistic colors. The text is straight-forward and well written, making this the perfect picture book to use to introduce young children to the concept of stewardship of natural resources and the protection of Nature. Stewardship (including the related societal, policy, and political issues) is quite complex, but this book does a wonderful job of avoiding any heavy explanations or complex science--the simple writing style makes this book ideal, as it is perfectly accessible for young, curious children without being overwhelming. [The back matter of the book contains a brief but thorough look into the minds of the creators and the real world event that inspired them; however, those text-heavy paragraphs appear AFTER the story, so you needn't worry that this book would be overwhelming for young minds. The back matter is simply, it seemed to me, for the benefit of the adults who will read this book to the children they care for. The creators obviously created this book out of great passion and a true desire to help.] This is simply a wonderful book!

Beautiful illustrations and meaningful story from a community whose voice is often not heard. Great exposure to diversity for children. Ending is hopeful but not obvious enough for younger children. Will have to explain.

A good book

The illustrations are gorgeous and the story beautiful.
