Love this hatch!!! Good size and good price!
Very nice. Quality seems good but time will tell. Didn't realize it's not a dry bag though but the hatch should keep it protected. Came fast, in it's own box, screws, foam gasket, and an extra plug which I have no use for. Installed it on my Lifetime Tamrack 100 and it eventhough the front of this kayak have a slight valley crease down the middle, I laid a bead of sealant around below the foam and everything seems snugged and tight. Looks very nice and the price is great! Thank you!

This is not an 8" hole diameter deck hatch. The underside measures 8.25" and the outside flange that is supposed to be 10" are actually 10.25". i have the needed 10" ring on my kayak that the description calls for but it is too big for that space.

Fits my boat like it was made for it
The best thing about the hatch was how It gave me more storage in the Kayak. I installed it yesterday and It was very easy to seal up. I used RTV on the foam gasket and used rivets Instead of the provided screws. I didn’t use the provided dry bag because my big dry bag rolls down for a positive seal. Great hatch for my Kayak and it arrived in two days. Nice. The scupper plug did not fit my scuppers. Very good hatch

Ended up with a great new storage area
Purchase because I just needed access inside my hull to fix some damage. Ended up with a great new storage area. Was simple to install and the Cat Bag comes in hand to carry items I used to have inside the kayak with me, never felt I needed a Cat Bag now glad it came with it.Works just like the OEM hatches and seems sturdy, just installed will take it out and about soon.

This is great item, I am replacing two smaller deck hatches on a tandem kayak. The ones being replaced are the theaded kind and I paid more for them than these. These are much nicer than I expected and the hinged and the latch is an unexpected value. These will be much more usable than the ones I am replacing. I am probably going to get another one as well.
