Installing Rubber Seal made Easy...
After reading the reviews about the difficulty of installing the rubber seal, I was a bit concerned that it would be a problem but I had no choice, I had to replace my threshold. I too had trouble at first but ultimately I figured it out...No soap and water needed with this technique... The trick is to press down onto the ledge about a quarter of an inch from the edge and DO NOT press in from the edge of the seal. See my diagram.

Perfect bronze match
I have several of these thresholds as they match the bronze finish in my bathroom. I ended up putting them all thru the house after putting laminate flooring down.

Perfect for my door, fit well. The Seal IS a bear to install, for sure.
Perfect fit, 36", just had to bang it in (lol). Perfectly matched the screw holes from my previous threshold. Took all of 15 minutes for that part. THAT SEAL, is another story. I pressed, pushed, compressed, rolled and prayed for over an hour...finally had to just walk away. Prayed and thought some more, and came back another day. I read the reviews, and tried some others suggestions...still no. Anndd, another day to pray! :).FINALLY, third day attempt, listed to the answered prayer: This is what worked for me. Set one side of the seal into the channel completely, make sure it's lined up correctly and snug (easy part). Then, step over it, turn, facing the seated side. Work the "other side" in from the back, turning it in and pressing down as you go, this is a bit slower, but it seated perfectly when done!! Hope that helps someone!

Nice threshold, installation directions could be better.
This is a good threshold for the money, does everything a threshold should do. It would help if they included instructions on how to get the vinyl seal in place since it has to be installed after the threshold is installed and screwed down - the screws are under the vinyl seal. Also, directions say cut the door 5/8" above the bottom pf the threshold. I've installed 2 of them and cut the door as instructed on the bevel as instructed at 5/8" above the bottom and on both doors it was too tight by a lot, and that means rehanging the door, finding it binds, taking the door down again, removing the vinyl, remeasuring, recutting and just guessing what the right cut is, reinstalling the vinyl, and rehanging.A bit frustrating. To install the vinyl I used a rubber mallet - compress the vinyl so it aligns with the groves in the threshold, start at one end and whack with the mallet until it seats, then proceed towards the opposite end.

Vinyl Strip was easy to install with dish soap and water
I bought this product to replace an existing threshold in which the vinyl weather strip had worn out. rather than just replacing the strip I decided I would replace the entire threshold since the existing threshold was tarnished and I figured I could use fresh start. A lot of people say it's a bear to install the vinyl strip. I didn't find that to be the case. The instructions say to use soap and water to lubricate the strip to make easier to insert. That's what I did. I started at one end and worked my way down while my son followed behind applying pressure to keep it from popping out. The whole process took less than twenty minutes and I have a great seal at the bottom of my door. In the dark I tried shining a flashlight under the door to see if I could see light from the other side. I could not see even a glimmer of light!
