Firstly ..... if it helps anyone, the symptoms of my V7. Put it on charge and wait until light says its full. Pick it up to use it and it runs for about 20 seconds with blue light flashing. Put it back on charge until blue light goes solid. Use it again and get about a minutes worth. Keep doing this several times and eventually it will run for long enough for a quick hoover round. But this was happening every day, every time and despite it showing fully charged ... so a complete and utter pain! Also tried the "reset trick" as posted by some but waste of time. There is no description of this symptom on the manufacturers trouble shooting website and my questions to them both by phone, email and online chat never got answered with a solution except to buy a new charger first and if that didnt cure it then a battery pack as well. That would have been about 40% of the cost of a new one. Ouch! So back to the review. Im alway dubious about battery replacements of this type. Most of my experience says that they are inferior, wont last long, may even leak after a while. But, at the price this was and after reading many good reviews, I decided it was worth the gamble. Well, it works fantastic. I cant honestly say it significantly outlasts the original battery in terms of runtime on my V7 even though it is a slightly larger capacity but it has given me an extra minute or so and I only ever use max suction but in any case, I have absolutely no complaints. I would not have paid the extortionate cost that the manufacturer charges for an original item so the vacuum would have been resigned to the bin. Its over 5 years old, used on average twice a day everyday and has served me well with no other issues except the usual cleaning out of the bin and filters and general simple maintenace so I was fully prepared to buy another. I dont need to now as this battery has most certainly done the trick. If it lasts another year or two then its well worth it and money well spent. By the way, the LED indicator light functions as it should and just like the original. So if your V7 symptoms are the same as mine, this battery should resolve it. Also got a nice new filter thrown in too. The motor filter does not fit my model because it doesnt have that option but the cone filter fits perfectly with a good seal. Great product, great price and highly reccommended by me.

Our Dyson V7 had been bought as an opened but unused product so was a bit cheaper than brand new but not much. It lasted for around 2 years before the High Suction failed and then gradually the Normal Suction time started to get less and less. The replacement battery from Dyson was a ridiculous amount and then I saw these batteries on Amazon. All I can say is it transformed the Dyson into a better than new vacuum. The only thing that stops me giving it 5 stars is it didn't come with the round block filter as advertised though the cone shaped filter was supplied. All together a very good purchase.

I was thinking about buying a new vacuum until I was attracted to the post about this battery giving a new lease of life to my existing vacuum. OMG what a difference. It’s like a brand new device now. Charge lasts for ages and stops cutting out intermittently on me. I followed the instructions for changing the battery and it was simple.

Wasn't sure if this would be any good but it is fine. Replaced my old original battery which was useless and not holding charge. This new one has breathed new life into my Dyson vac. Charge holds well and seems to give me longer vacuuming time than the stock battery.

Powerful and lasts as long as if not longer than original. Replacement filter provided but not compatible ( not needed anyway). Plus hair/debris remover for roller..... very useful.

Bought two , they are 100% up to now . Have three handhelds & replaced all batteries' with the cheapest available , all better than Dyson's originals , don't waste money on the more expensive ones , they are NO better , only for the gullible. Alan.
