Humless Portable Solar Generator with (2) Foldable 130 Watt Solar Panels for Camping, Hunting, RV, Off Grid, 1.3 kWh Solar Kit

I bought this item after the hurricane Irma as an alternate source of power while FPL is restoring power to my house. For some reason I do not recall I bought this directly from the HUMLESS website. The HUMLESS website shop experience has not been very positive, as the shipping charges appeared after my order confirmation. The shipping charges were 162$ against the 142$ shown by the amazon website. NO email was sent later with a tracking number, but the item was delivered with Fedex overnight, so I was pleased. I called HUMLESS twice, left a message with my cell phone number but they never called me back. So, from this I assume that they are overloaded, with organizational issues, and therefore the customer service was for me non existent. I got their phone number from the website.The items were packed overall well. BUT they included the cable for the anderson connector (the Y parallel cabling) in one of the Solar panel boxes on top of the "suitcase"-like folded panel. This damaged one of the Y connectors, but the damage was minor. As a suggestion, it would be better if the cabling would go with the battery box, or inside the folded panel to avoid damages to the plastic of the connectors. The instructions are also basic and there is no overall document describing how the cabling works. In my case, I did not initially noticed the cables and I spent some time figuring out how this works.I followed the instructions on fully charging the battery one time before the first use. Then, I used it today for the first time.I can confirm that the load on the grid (at a friend's home) is 4 hours long.Also, loading with the 2 solar panels takes 5 hours ONLY if you orient them well t the sun. I am in Miami and my place is fully exposed to the sun.The use of the battery is extremely easy. Be careful when moving the solar panels (when you change orientation): they are black and they get really really HOT. I burned my left hand as I did not user any protecting glove. I would actually suggest to paint them in silver or keep the aluminum/silver color to minimize irradiation absorption and therefore heat generation.For a backup in my situation (after hurricane) 5 hours to recharge is too long and it would certainly be beneficial the possibility of using a second pair of panels. If anyone from HUMLESS will read this it would be nice if they could tell us what is the max deployment we can make (2, 4, 6 or 8 panels?). This may not be optimal, but it would definitely help to use the battery as an inverter for a larger electricity consumption during sunlight hours (we usually open the fridge more during the day than at night).I am happy about this one. It is silent. It tends to warm up and heat your room if you keep it inside, so I am thinking where to place it so that the air circulation does not increase the temperature. The fan does not bother at all.

I did considerable research before deciding on Humless and I'm very pleased with this purchase. I suggest you gain an understanding of intended electrical usage & solar panel operation (i.e sun hours vs daylight etc.) to appreciate the panels and the Humless 1.3 kwh battery. Customer service was excellent and very responsive while resolving a minor shipping issue. The unit and panels arrived quickly and were well packaged. Take your time to follow instructions and get familiar with the system before first use. The storage case for the solar panels are high quality and exceeded my expectations. I've performed various testing & extremely happy with it's operation. High quality nice system and works as advertised.
