Some of the complaints were in old reviews, so I wrongly hoped that the issues had been resolved and I'd get a new and improved version...Nope!The adhesive liner on the weatherstrip is thin and fragile, like single-ply toilet paper and IT WON'T F'N COME OFF WITHOUT A FIGHT. Look at the pictures another reviewer uploaded. That's what I experienced. What a shame. I tried fingernails to start, then the tip of a utility knife, then bathroom tweezers. Wasted a half hour of my life trying to be careful and do it right. Nope! Finally ended up ripping the top layer of the foam rubber weatherstrip completely off, losing the adhesive and the permanantly attached liner, to proceed. I know, I know: a rain barrier isn't critical on a bikini top you rock in the summertime, so I can live with it. But still...Then, yes, screws were snapping. In all fairness, running a small screw into thick sheet metal isn't an easy task, but it's obvious that cheap metal screws are being sent to customers. The replacements I found at the hardware store are stronger. That added another $6 to my project, plus expensive gas and wasted time.This isn't my first Bestop product. Previous products are far better than this cheaply manufactured overpriced crap. I paid $32, the cheapest price I could find, and that is far too much. If you insist on trying this product yourself, I highly recommend finding the cheapest price possible and upgrading to a larger, thicker screw that will be less likely to break.The bikini top attached to the channel isn't much better, but that's a separate review. I thought this would be an easy, simple uprgrade project. Nope! Shame on Bestop.

Works as intended. I installed it in about 5 minutes. I used my own self tapping acres and a cordless impact driver. The screws that came with it would have made it a much bigger project. I used a Bimini top with it and it works perfectly.

Good, easy product to install for the best top bikini top, but don’t even waste you time trying to use the cheap screws provided to mount with. Go get 10 self tappers and get it done in 5 mins.

Read the reviews. Once installed, it's quite easy to put on the bikini top by simply sliding it into the channel. The bad --- those are not self tapping screws. I made very tiny pilot holes and still broke one of the screws and had to go buy real self tappers. I also now need to drill one out due to the insanely cheap hardware they provide. The backing tape is also near impossible to get off.
