Classy Caps SL214W Aluminum Imperial Solar Post Cap, 5" x 5", White

I bought these to replace the cheap ones that I've had for years that leaked and gave me occasional problems. Absolutely love them, they are brighter than the ones I had and they had four cheap LED's in them and also required two batteries to only needing one for these. The only complaint that I have is they come with 800 mAh batteries, so I changed them out to eneloop pro 2500 mAh batteries and now they stay on from dusk to dawn. I like them so much that I ended up ordering more for the back of my place. Just remember if you are going to put them on anything other then a 5x5 inch post you will need adapters to size down. I did not look to see if you can get them on Amazon but you can on their web site.

Ordered four (4) of these in December 2015 for each corner of my back yard. They provide a nice look with reliable, long rechargeable battery life. The one exposed to the harshest environmental factors, (heavy winds, blowing rain and baking summer sun) failed in March 2020, coinciding with the arrival of COVID-19 (no relation, other than the calendar). I was so pleased to discover that this very same item is still available, so I immediately ordered a replacement. The other three, after only a couple of wipe downs and a AA rechargeable battery replacement a couple of years ago, are still looking great and going strong.

Good quality of material.

So I bought one of these for my deck but it was slightly too small to fit my 5.5” post. I will say this if you have a 5” post this cap light will look great. Really wish it would fit. I was even looking if I could modify it to fit but there is no good way I could do that and it look right. It is made of quality material with a metal frame. I would love to use this light.

The caps were an easy install. The lights aren't really bright, but it's enough to make the fence look really nice. The only setback is if I have my floodlights on, the lights in that area may not come on. As far as durability i cant say just yet, I did buy refurbished so that would have to be given a little more time.
