Magnetic Upright Easel Knife Block

I returned this item several times before I finally gave up demanding quality. This easel knife block (as well as its companion addon) have both been outsourced to china for manufacturing and the vendor has taken Zwilling to the cleaners. This is not made out of a hardwood as any other knife block on the planet would be but rather some soft cheap substitute.... likely rubberwood. It holds up so poorly that I dare you to try to obtain one that isn't essentially already in factory second condition. I bought this in spite of other similar reviews because I trusted the Zwilling brand, after multiple replacements I'm convinced that this one particular item is just poorly and cheaply made ("value engineered" rather).

If I could give it no stars I would. Take all of the warnings seriously on this review. Terribly packaged. Received the base completely broken off of the magnetic stand. Returning and will not be asking for another.

Product is design to break, it broke exactly same way as some other person posted here in pics.

Crap finish, i will be sanding then staining it to fix what should of never left the factory

magnets do not span the width. So knifes go in spots which limits number that can be stored to fewer than the width would imply. Nonetheless, beautiful and I really like that my Kramer high carbon steel knives are not stored in a slot where some left over water could result in rustin.
