Don't put this down until you are sure it's where it needs to be. Very strong adhesion.
For the purpose of putting flexible solar panels on the fiberglass roof it worked really well. I don't think removing it will be easy, make sure you know where you want it to go, before sticking it down. Update 4/19/20 Took the vehicle on a 70 mph test run and the solar panels stayed put, I did add a bead of waterproof silicon around the edges as the vehicle is being converted to a camper it will be out in the weather.

Don’t waist your money, 3M outsourced this crap and it doesn’t even stick to itself!
OK 3M really dropped the ball on this crap, I have been a 3M user for most of my adult life so imagine how surprised I was when this crap wouldn’t even stick to itself.I don’t need some tech asking if I cleaned and prepped the area, it’s just plan old everyday crap!!!!!!!!!I found enough old cheap off brand in a hardware store that hold like you wouldn’t believe.I’d send this crap back but it’s not even worth the effort.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!
Best adhesive tape stuff ever invented. They hold windows on the sides of skyscrapers with vhb tape alone. This stuff is for real and sticks to so many different things. Even the plastics it has "low adhesion" to still stick pretty good. I use it on stuff like abs plastic to wood or painted wood. It sticks to everything ive ever needed it to and hasn't let me down not one time and I've used it in dozens of various applications. I even stuck a security camera up with this stuff and it hasn't moved a pixel yet literally. I stuck a 5 way HDMI switch to the back of my tv with the strain of 6 HDMI cables and again it didn't budge with about 3 inches worth of tape. As amazing as it is with how strongly it bonds I've found a way to remove the things I've stuck by twisting the thing I taped about 90° and can get stuff off again. Next to thick aluminum tape this is my favorite tape I've ever bought and keep rolls handy as to not run out. I'm always tinkering and fixing or modifying things and this comes in handy. It's the multitool of tape.

This is very sticky double sided tape.
I often read the 1 star reviews and look at the percentage of 1 star reviews. It is clear if you read them that some are using the tape as a one sided tape. It is a two sided tape meant to go between the item you are trying to tape and the surface you are trying to tape it to. For that it is excellent. I had no trouble getting the backing off. It is never easy to take the backing off double sided tape and I wold say this is average. I used tweezers after getting a small corner to lift. But the stuff really sticks. Make sure you clean the surface first. I was adhering an antenna to the window of a car on the outside so really important it sticks. I highly recommend it for permanent jobs. Note, I was taping metal to glass.

Sticky stuff, but a bit unsure if it is real
The good - this is really sticky stuff and appears to stay in place. This is what you want but I guess that time will tell. If it keeps sticking then all is well. The bad - it came in a generic bag with a computer printed label without any logo. The cardboard roll has "3M" printed on it, but it wasn't quite as sharp as it could be. It is possible that it is some bulk product, but I'm not completely convinced. In addition, the outside of the roll was also very sticky - different from the 3M rolls that you buy in stores where the outside is slightly sticky. The bag needed to be cut open and peeled away from the roll.It is difficult to peel the backing from the tape. I've found it useful to score the backing with a knife down the middle lengthwise, then very slightly bend it - which pops up the edge of the tape letting you lift it with your fingernail.Once stuck in place, this tape appears to stick well. If it falls off in a month or so I'll know it isn't really 3M and I'll update this review.
