The real problem here is purchasing things online. It's not very clever. Anyway.....Arrived in the post very quickly. Great.Unpackaged and plugged in....lights came on but no drive showing up on my PC. Tried all of my USB 3 sockets plus 2 USB 2 sockets.....nothing. Tried another computer with USB 3. Nothing.Sent back to Amazon the next day. I can't do the job I bought it for and won't get a refund for approx 1 week. I wonder if i'll be refunded for the 3 year damage warranty I purchased with it? I can't seem to find this information out on Amazon.Amazon don't seem to have quality checks on the products they sell. They just want your money and don't care a great deal beyond the transaction. They need to be taxed more so shops who pay council rates and rents etc can be more competitive.

Had this hard drive less than a month and now I'm in the process of returning it back to Amazon. Lesson, stick to make and model of my other drives, which I'll order once I receive my refund.

I spent over 15 minutes trying everything to get this to load on Windows 10. I have to admit defeat. It is formatted EXFAT so it should have been fine. I put it in my Mac and faster than I could close the windows to get to my desktop it was there, no problem. I have erased and formatted it now for Windows with NTSF, it worked without much problem on my Windows afterward. (The first time I plugged it in nothing happened. I plugged it in again and it just popped up read to go as D drive. It comes with a USB B adaptor wow, that looks like it came out of a Christmas Cracker. I won't be using that.

I’ve always used G-Drives as my portable backups, and they have been consistently good. This is no exception, Mac-compatible, mounts easily, transfer rates are good and it looks wonderful. I would expect memory costs to be constantly dropping by now and the price is the only reason I didn’t give five stars - hopefully it will come into line with similarly-sized drives of other name brands soon. Otherwise very good indeed.

Produit acheté fin aout 2020, jusque là tout fonctionnait bien. Début février, le cable s'abime (très rigide, donc a force de se plier ds tous les sens, il s'abime). Ensuite, plus de connexion, il n'apparait plus sur aucun pc. Test de mise à jour, tout est fait, mais plus de connexion. Après appel du service client amazon, mon produit va être échangé. D'après les commentaires, je ne suis pas la seule à qui cela arrive. Dommage mais produit pas fiable. Je vais faire attention avec le nouveau pour les sauvegardes.
