I have a TMJ night guard (to prevent grinding teeth at night). It had gotten caked with tarter that would not come off with toothpaste and a brush. The dentist had no luck removing the build up. The build up was affecting the fit of the device. I soaked it in this solution for 4-6 hours a day for the first 3 days and it looked almost like new. It also fit like new again. All but a few crevices we’re clear of build up after the first 3 days. After 2 weeks of using it for 30 minutes a day, even the crevices are clear. No cracking or discoloration. You do need to rinse it after you take it out of the solution to avoid a bad taste.

This product was recommended by one of the technicians at my orthodontist’s office after a conversation about not being able to completely clean my clear retainer. I read the reviews and was a little concerned about the product, but I have to say my two oral devices have never been cleaner or more stain free since I received them.I have not noticed an odor after rinsing them, nor have I noticed a lingering taste. I do rinse and brush them thoroughly after pulling them out of the solution. The first couple of times I left them in for about twenty minutes each just to test things out. The next time I left them in for a couple of hours and that’s when they were completely free of stains. Now I leave them for in the solution for 30 minutes or so in order to sanitize them and remove any light stains. I can’t believe how clean they are, especially my oral apnea device, which is white and really prone to heavy staining. It is like new now!The solution is good for multiple uses, which is great. You can store your retainers in the solution or not. Given the multiple uses for each packet (10 or 11 soakings I think) this is a great deal. I’m more then happy with this cleaner!

It is an amazing retainer cleaner and leaves the retainer very clean. There are a few white spots on the retainer that don't come off but it is not too big of a problem. Make sure to rinse and brush clean your retainer after taking it out of the solution so it won't taste weird like other reviews say. I will say though the the travel case could have been designed just a bit better. It is great in keeping the water from evaporating like in a cup but the case can't hold the 1/2 cup of water like the mix says. I get it is meant for travel but I feel like the dimensions could have been increased slightly to fit in the 1/2 cup. Other than that great product.

The storage container is sturdy good quality plastic; very functional. The cleaning solution is very effective. I highly recommend this product.

This stuff was amazing. I've had a nightguard for years & this stuff got it so clean. Once mixed I used it the full 10 days of use. I left my guard in all day once I took it out till night time for the 10 days. At the end of the 10 days it looked brand new. Now I treat it once a month with the soak but usually no more than 5 days just because it dosen't have the build up on it that would stay even after brushing it with a toothbrush. My dentist was so impressed that she wanted to know what I used. Highly recommend

It definitely cleans my invisaline trays very well. The problem I have with it is the residual taste of peroxide that stays in your mouth for hours. I saw on the packaging that there is peppermint flavor in the ingredients, but I could not tell. My dentist told me to put a couple drops of non-a;cohol mouth wash in the solution (even though you are not supposed to use mouthwash with invisaline). I use Biotene and added a couple drops...it helped a little but not much. I do not like the taste at all, but am enjoying the clean trays, so will use this product until I run out and then probably search for something that tastes better.

For a little over a year I've worn a mouthpiece at night to minimize my snoring. Part of my morning routine was to clean it with the foam cleaner the dentist recommended plus a brush. Over time I became concerned about the color of the appliance. Who wants to sleep with a dirty piece of plastic in their mouth all night? So I searched for something else and decided on the SmartGuard product. I followed the simple instructions for preparing the solution and stored the mouthpiece in the provided container instead of using the foam the next morning. When I removed it I was shocked by how crystal clear the device was. I'm never going back to anything else to clean my appliance. One packet keeps my mouthpiece nice and clean for a full week. It's OK to stretch it to ten days, but I always change it out after seven or eight days. I highly recommend this stuff.
