as a novice machinist i shoulda made my own jack. I am glad i didn't now. This is a very robust little jack.I bought the smaller one also..

They are fairly priced and very sturdy. You will not jack up much weight with them, as you have to grab onto the knurled nuts somehow and spin them. But they can HOLD UP a whole lot of weight!

It's for 1 to 2" adjustments - used like a reverse vice - I needed a vice grip to turn the knurled adjustment grip ..... it works

These were a lot better than I was expecting. They worked great for what I needed them for. Most likely will be purchasing more in the future.

Quality product. Exactly what I needed. Works exactly as intended.To the review complaining about oil. You ordered a machinist tool... How could you not expect oil to be involved?

This appears to be made from quality steel but its way too narrow to be "steady" in the lifting foot of a floor jack I will not use it :(

This thing comes in a sealed plastic big and it is covered in oil. I left it in a bucket of IPA for an hour or so, then rinsed it off and did another cycle with soap and water, then finally let it air dry in the sun to get all the oil off.It works great but the initial oil clean up is a mess and takes a while.

This works well but the machining was not as clean as I would have liked. Mine has all kinds of little nicks and burrs on the thread. Consequently it turns a bit roughly.
