I don't know what the difference is between these little Thomas Engines. But this little Diesel engine has a really strong motor (same batteries). It seems to run faster and pull more rolling stock than the average Thomas engine that comes with the pre-made sets.Very cool looking too.

Grandson loved it!
Bought three different Thomas train engines for my grandson for Christmas and he loved all of them! Very sturdy and colourful and work well on the Trackmaster track. Arrived in 2 days, as stated.
