I can't believe how great this book is!!
I have been buying mutual funds as part of my 401k since being an adult, but haven't dabbled in stocks much. I thought I would try doing stock options first. Well, I realized that if you don't have a lot of money to start with, stock options won't make you much money. While reading this book, I put together notes based on the author's recommendations. I then chose a few of them to whittle down the number of penny stocks on the NYSE. Low and behold, I was left with a manageable number of less than 100. I work the oil and gas industry and so I have some knowledge about that market. Within the smaller number of choices, I realized there was only one oil and gas stock. I then researched the company, which I hadn't heard of before. After my research, I thought...what the heck...I'll give it a shot. In three months, that stock is up over 50%. I bought quite a bit more about three weeks ago, and that new purchase is up 10%. I'm very pleased with the guidance that author provided. I'm getting ready to read the book again and then look for another stock.Very good book for people who know nothing about buying any type of stock.

A must have for everyone's Penny Stock trading "tool box"!
After watching a half dozen or so of Peter's fantastic videos on YouTube, I found out that he wrote this book so I ordered it immediately. I had a feeling it would be very good at the least, for in his videos he's very clear and informative, and always provides pertinent examples to back up his theories. This book was no different. I can't say enough good things about it. I was familiar with the "Dummies" series and always thought highly of them, but for me this book is the best of them. I'd also like to say to some of you that may be sitting on the fence about purchasing this text, please don't let the "Dummies" title deter you, this book is so full of information, as soon as you finish you'll be reading it again. If you're a newbie or an experienced trader, you'll be learning and refining your trading craft. In closing I'd like to say that I'm glad Peter was chosen to write this book, and look forward to his next writing endeavor.

so if you want to learn how to evaluate a buy and hold on a penny stock this is as good of a book as you can buy
This book is very exhaustive, and has more of a long investment bias. It gives deep insight of the fundamentals of Penny Stock and how these fundamentals play out very differently then the rest of the large more established stocks. If your looking for technical analysis this book doesn't deep dive into this component, so if you want to learn how to evaluate a buy and hold on a penny stock this is as good of a book as you can buy.

Information but no real advice on how to invest
Not a bad book especially if you are new to stocks in general. Honestly though nothing here that you couldn't easily learn for free on the internet or Investopedia. Think of it as buying a book that says it will teach you to get a great deal when buying a car and then states "make sure it has doors, an engine, 4 tires, windows...etc." then nothing further. Perhaps it is me but I didn't see real hardcore teaching on how to profitably buy penny stocks that didn't already apply to any other stock other than "penny stocks are more risky".If you are new to trading and want your info in once handheld paper place and don't mind spending $15.00 then this is a good reference book.

Great Book - Learned a LOT
This book walked me through the penny stock markets (there are many) and which are more legitimate than others (and what makes them more legitimate) and which markets to avoid. There are legitimate small companies on the penny stock market, but they can be hard to find. A lot of Peter Leeds advice was very straightforward and non-technical: look at the companies name (it should be memorable and connected to what they do) and also research their products and read the reviews. I was all set to invest in one company but, heading Peter's advice, I scoured the web and couldn't find the companies products anywhere. They weren't even for sale on the company website! I avoided a possible costly mistake, as I'm used to buying stock in large companies where their brands are already known. I haven't bought anything yet, but patience is the name of this game.

Amazing comprehensive guide to penny stocks. Love it.
This is a really comprehensive guide to penny stocks, not for dummies. I thought it would be more simplistic because of the title, then I read about the author, amazing guy really, holds a ton of unbiased knowledge and teaches it with great precision and clarity. An amazing book for penny stock traders. By the way, you'll learn more from this book than any online penny stock trader videos. Glad I found this.

Both high and low levels of stock described
The name Penny Stocks is individually used by investors at different levels. This comes with a cheat sheet on how to invest and not get burned and what information is important. It has a lot of detail and I suggest reading it in several days if you are detail oriented. It does give advice on when to gloss over material for a high level reading. So far, it seems like the cheat sheet is vital for success. I will update this review as I try using investment options described in here.

Vague on many topics
Books spends a lot of time bouncing the reader from chapter to chapter to anticipate details on methods of picking out these kind of stocks. However much of content is just definitions of financial concepts without specifics on how to apply them. Even the chapter on screeners was vague on how to set up the criteria.Readers are better of selecting a good book on trading and technical analysis.

Excellent book for someone starting out!
As a complete newbee I needed to understand the absolute basics and this book has helped me do that. It enabled me to get my head around the whole share buying and selling process. The main downside is that it is aimed at the American market although I understand the principles are the same in which ever country you are based..

An absolute must read! This will change your world.
This is an absolute must read for anyone getting into or wanting to learn penny stocks. I got into the penny stock world a few months ago and didn't have a clue about anything. After doing my research and due diligence I came across Peter Leeds. He has led this industry in his stock market knowledge, especially penny stocks! As soon as i found out Peter had written a book I was sold. This book breaks down everything you need to know about penny stocks. He breaks down the basics of penny stocks to doing your research and providing you with the tactics and analysis he has used to be one of the most successful penny stock traders of all time! My knowledge has increased so much that I will be reading the Candlestick Charting book that Peter has wrote as well.I can't say it enough, this book has changed my life. I recommend this to anyone who wants to better themselves in the Penny Stocking world! Thanks Peter.
