Botero Backgrounds 050 5x7' Collapsible Background, Medium Gray

I had such high hopes. This was going to simplify my location portrait shooting so much. No more lugging around my huge backdrop stand. No more 30 minute setup times just for changing backgrounds.I have not been this disappointed since the StudioHut version of this. My review will be close to identical as the products seem to be identical.Basically, this thing is shiny. Its a sheer, yet somehow wrinkly shiny polyester. Think Soprano's track suit.For a photo backdrop shiny = worthless for so many reasons. The three biggest being uncontrolled lighting, flare, and uneven rendering. One of those is enough to make it unusable.Because it is under tension and a poly blend, you would think the wrinkles would come out after it was opened a while. You would be incorrect. And because the polyester repels water, the wrinkles will not steam out either.You could not make a product more unsuitable for photography if you tired. It is simply not usable for its intended purpose. Makes a heeluva kite though. This product must have been designed using pure theory by someone lacking any knowledge of photography.On the plus side, having owned all manner of soft boxes, reflectors, diffusers etc. it was not a problem folding it back up. this made it easier to return :-)For what it is worth, only the Lastolite versions of these are any good. I have bought them all.
