Uncritical view of US history
I wouldn't give this to a kid unless you're going to read it with them and discuss its various factual errors and biases in quite a lot of detail. I was reading it out loud to 10 and 11 year olds, and we all gasped when we got to the claim that white pioneers, invading indigenous people's land, were going through "undeveloped" territory, and encountered "wild animals and hostile natives". Seriously, in 2015, this was published. Even in what we've read so far it has a lot of misinformation and falsehoods, e.g. "Washington freed his slaves".But my kids and I are enjoying it as a way of reviewing a particular narrative, and we like that it has lots of pictures. Maybe worth reading if you do it as group project, if you're aware that it's riddled with errors and biases, and supplement with other sources. Otherwise, steer clear.

This book is bias and has misinformation
I was excited about this book after reading all the reviews. When I received it, I loved all the pictures and quick facts. Very informative. Unfortunately, the book is filled with misinformation and bias. I’m all for looking at other perspectives, but it’s difficult to when only presented with opinions. For example, I was reading about Obama’s presidency, and it talked about all his accomplishments and highlighted them. Then I flipped a couple pages to where it talked about Trump. It started out with “trump won the presidency under a cloud of controversy.” In comparison to Obama’s page, “Young Illinois legislator Barack Obama delivered the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, it was clear that a powerful new voice had arisen in the party.” Trump’s page has nothing positive to say about his time in the presidency and instead calls him racist. It’d be nice to have a balance between the two, like putting the faults and accomplishments within each president. I will be returning it.

Completely bias with misinformation
I got this for my middle schoolers who was excited for it after reading the description. This isn’t a history book it’s the author’s options. I want facts not your option. I wouldn’t give it to anyone to read. There is a lot of misinformation and bias. To be honest I was stocked. Do not get this book

Excellent book for kids
My 9 year old niece is OBSESSED with the Presidents so I decided to get this book for her birthday. She cannot put the book down! She is fascinated by all of the facts in there and it is very interesting what is in that book (coming from an adult) so it's fun to read with her and learn new things. It's also great for kids because there are supplemental things in there about the Government, the Supreme Court, etc. so they can learn a little bit about that as well. Very good book with extensive facts about our PAST Presidents.

Very informative
I am not an American and always wanted to get acquainted briefly with the history of USA and particularly wanted to learn about all the US presidents. This is a great book, it provides all the necessary basic information about each president, there are lots of interesting facts describing the given period of time.

Not age appropriate
Lovely book but highly inappropriate for my 7 year old grandson who is well versed in all our presidents and reads extensively. I was very disappointed as this book was not age appropriate and more suited for a middle school child.

Neat Digest, great for kids, young adults and others with little previous knowledge.
Three to four pages on the life and work of each president is a great digest for the all the important material one needs to know. The legends offer an excellent list of events at the time of each president's term to offer a useful Global perspective. Recommended for kids, young adults and anyone looking to quickly understand the evolution of the American system of government and the events that led to laws and societal revolutions.

Bought for American sons being raised elsewhere
This book is comprehensive and full of unknown facts about American presidents. The pictures are of high quality and the information is accurate. The book also records the names and short sections about the presidents’ spouses and the roles they played. Glad to come across this book. Thanks to the author.
