Some Kind of Monster: Friends with the Monsters, Book 2

These 2 books are the absolute best books I've read in this genre, & that's saying something!😂😍 This author is amazing! The characters are unique, quirky, unpredictable- the dialog, both internal & external, kept me laughing my head off, when I wasn't clutching the chair in suspense or clenching my legs in the sexy parts😂😍😍😍 I laughed so hard I had tears rolling out during the "labor" scene, it was hysterical!😂😍 I hope her other books are this good, I will read them ALL!! KUDOS to the author, you are the BOMB!😘😍🩷🩷🩷

I loved the way this story played out. It kept me connected and looking forward to their story and how their relationship worked. Sad it was one of her monster friends was the bad guy, but glad it was dealt with quickly. I don't like to read about the gore but there was enough violence in it. Each character enhanced the story. Damiana was perfect in handling her men and any situation that rose from any conflict. I like strong main female characters ... Damsels in distress really sucks. Great job ms. Walker. You don't disappoint.

This was downright good. The uh ending right after the real bad guy gets his. Now that’s some real stuff there. I was laughing my ass off.

I really enjoyed this book. It's a fast read and ends nicely. I really liked the characters in this book too.

I loved all of the characters, but Grim is my absolute favorite! He brings a smile to my face every time. Such a great duet!

Such a freak world created for this storyline and I am sad to see this come to an end even if it was spectacular.

To be frank: this book was all over the place in plot and story. The first half of the book is well written sex scenes and some unimportant stuff in between that doesn’t really move the plot or story along. Then it starts picking up after the revelation of Dami’s condition. Only to fall flat once the bad guy is dealt with quickly and in an underwhelming fashion.The humor and quips are still good and got laughs out of me. It’s very obvious who the author enjoys more out of the harem because he gets multiple sex scenes while Gunnar gets one, if I remember right. Which is fine for me because Gunnar was never my favorite in Dami’s harem but for other fan’s of the first book that might not be the case. The blatant bias sucks but it is what it is.Good smut scenes and lots of soft, sweet moments with Grim, but I expect more from the plot and storyline.

If I wasn't so invested in the variety of unique and interesting characters I may not have finished this one but I'm glad I did.

Damiana and the guys are on the hunt for the bad witch who has been hurting the baddies, they end up running across a Wolfpack that need Calix’s help.On the hunt for the bad witch they make a visit to Damiana’s old boarding school off the back of a tip from her old school crush Boogey.The leads all link together and the bad witch is unearthed.A wee surprise of my loathed trope but it wasn’t bad and actually a really enjoyable read4⭐️

This duet is definitely sweeter than I thought it would be. Nowhere near as dark as I thought. I loved all the characters, including the baddies. I wish we had a little more angst, especially with Boogey.

3.5 stars...so good to get me out of my reading slump. Fun and sexy and lots of creepy stuff, super fun read. Also it had some twists and turns that I didn't see for the ending. Worth the read.

I loved how this ended. I also loved the addition of the new characters. I felt like it added depth to the story!I loved the growth of the FMC, I also loved the message of the story that not all monsters look the part.

I freaking love this series and it’s a perfect spooky read for the season. Dami and the guys have grown so much their journey was incredible..First of all I love Grim so much. His brash and dry humour really gave the book another life. Each of the guys had their distinct personalities and what they brought to their relationship. It was great seeing them all start to work and operate as a team and watch as the guys all learnt to be comfortable with each other and grow individually as well..Not gonna lie the book lacked in a few places for me, one particular is when we finally find out what and who she is. There was no real expansion on it so it fell flat and was very anticlimactic. I’m not sure if we will get a book 3 with how this one ended, I hope we do or at least some kind of spin off or novella to fill in a lot of those gaps this one left behind..The twist in this book had me shook. Didn’t expect that it was going there at all but I loved it. I loved the misdirection and the unexpectedness of the revelation. Again felt like it could have been better executed, maybe dragged out a bit longer when they came to a head to really build the suspense but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The plot was good and I enjoyed this read..Book also needs to be re edited because there was a section in chapter 11 I believe, that repeated itself, and a few typos but those are easily looked over which is understandable..This is a great series to read during the spooky season.
