I got this product to use around my espresso machine. It works great as it’s sticky enough to attract the grounds and keep my area clean but still easy to clean. Was also bigger than I expected which was great.

The mat definitely doesn’t stay stuck to your counter with the provided glue dots. I think it’s just too thick to stay stuck. We had really heavy items sitting on it for 24 hours and within a day, most of them were unstuck. But even without that, I would still buy it again because it’s perfect for our kitchen buffet that we have our Air Fryer on. What I love is that it allows you to see the actual counter part versus being a totally different color. And it’s really durable and easy to clean.

I want to preface this by saying, kids, don't try this at home. Discovering just how amazingly heat resistant this is, was very much a holy crap moment! 100% recommend this product!Long story short, I uncovered the 2 burners I planned to use. Placed my pot of water on the burner, turned it on, and walked away while I waited for the water to boil. About 3-5 minutes later, I headed back into the kitchen and discovered really thick steam.... nope. It was smoke(?) and that's when I realized I'd turned on the wrong burner!!!! I grabbed the mat, tossed it in the sink, and turned on the water.There was 0 damage to the mat. There was no terrible smell in my house. It did NOT burn or catch fire, and, it is happily back on my stove.PSA: Be sure to completely remove the mat before turning on the burners... this way, if you turn on the wrong one like I did, you won't have a mini-stroke when you walk back into the kitchen.

The mat arrives folded so there are creases and bubbles that have not come out. Difficult to position on range top because silicon "sticks." Same on top side. Everything sticks to it and its hard to wipe clean. Not what I was hoping for but pretty much what I expected. It does offer protection to the glass top and a place to set hot dishes from microwave. I keep my Instant Pot on my range top so it sits in this. I'll keep looking for something else but this works for now.UPDATE:After 8 mo. of having this mat covering my glass stovetop, I have made peace with cleaning the "sticky" surface. Today I tried to lift the silicon off of the stovetop to get rid of a bubble in the surface (and yes you can still see the creases from shipping). The silicon is tearing and sticking to the stovetop. It will need to be scraped off to use the glass burners. I didn't have time to fool with this today but I am disappointed that the silicon is stuck to my new glass stovetop. I would not recommend this be used on a surface that could be ruined by this sticking --like the wood table someone asked about in the questions. At least I can scape and scrub this off the glass at some point but I'm not sure how you would get it off finished wood.

I failed to look at the thickness choices. I ordered the 0.03" thick choice. It is very thin. I won't deduct on the rating because there was no deception. This thinner version seems okay on durability. I wanted a thicker choice for use around heat sources.This arrives folded up and you must peel it apart. It comes apart okay and the creases look like they will disappear. It has no smell best I can tell so that makes me happy.I will update this review after I see how well it works with hot objects in the kitchen since it does say it will protect countertops from heat sources.

We have our microwave on a decorative piece of furniture since our counters are too small. It was nice to put something underneath it to protect he furniture from the heat or spilling anything from the microwave. It is easy to wipe clean and thin so it is not noticeable.

I have already reviewed this item and said how disappointed I was that the mat was creased and had bubbles that I have not been able to eradicate. Tried by placing heavy objects on it. Then placed it out in the hot sun hoping that would help no such luck so am still very disappointed as I felt it was rather expensive.
