Love it amazing sound quality

I have been on the hunt for the perfect Bluetooth speaker for our outdoor activities. I had some specific points it needed to meet such as, powerful sound, good bass, long battery life and of course; waterproof.I stumbled on this one totally by accident while watching a review on another speaker that compared itself to this one. I was intrigued so I did some digging. Let me tell you, the first thing I was turned off by was the high price tag. I thought to myself, "who spends that much on a speaker??" Well fast forward to today and the answer to that question is...this guy, that's who!After looking at endless reviews, it was clear people just love this thing. It fit every single one of my criteria for a good speaker and more. After forcing my wallet open, I placed the order and waited patiently.Once it got here, I was excited to open it up and see what all the hype was about. I was amazed! I wasn't surprised in any as all the reviews were spot on. This thing is simply incredible as far as Bluetooth speakers go. It plays very clearly with tons of power to spare. The bass is surprisingly good and I honestly wouldn't want it to be any more boomy than it is. It's got just the exact right tuning.I love the fact that this this is not only waterproof, but it can be dunked in the pool without any concern at all. With my other speakers, it was always a mad rush to protect them from rain or any moisture. It's no longer a worry with this thing.I have it hooked up to my Amazon Echo Dot and it's the best thing ever. Other than the high price tag, I honestly can't find anything bad to say about this unit. Keep in mind, you do get what you pay for so you can expect a premium product for a premium price.It has some great extra features I like such as the battery level light when charging, high wattage power brick for decently fast charging, a USB output to be able to use the speaker as a battery bank and the fact that it's a solid, heavy unit.Do yourself a favor and watch some of the videos on this thing. Everything you see on them is spot on. I highly recommend this speaker if you want some serious sound for your outdoor (or indoor) activities. We're using it primarily on our deck by the pool for anything from soft jazz to heavy hits. Excellent BT speaker with superior sound performance compare to most BT speakers.However keep your expectations realistic, this will not replace a true sound system with a sub or a real PA system for a party.If you want the house to shake with bass at high volume, you should get an SVS subwoofer instead.But as a ''portable radio'', the Boombox 2 is phenomenal, so the price is justified. And like all speakers the placement of the unit is crucial, if you can put the speaker in a corner the bass will be louder.I was tired of my JBL Charge 2 around the house (still a great solution for travelling light) and wanted a no compromised soundwise portable BT to go with me in the garage or around the pool. I also have an Harman-Kardon Omni BT speaker (not portable) which is very good. Compared to the Omni 20, the Boombox 2 has a lower bass response, a more open sound and is louder.The sound is rich and full up to 60% volume , past that point the dsp start to cut the bass for protection, so at full volume 100% you don't get whole bass range and amplitude. This is the same with my other BT speakers and probably with most brand.BTW I have the excellent app Neutron player with parametric EQ, so I have no need for an EQ app from JBL.

Killer speaker. Have both boom box 1 and 2.The ONLY negative is BB2 uses a different Bluetooth system so you can’t sync the speakers like you can if they are the same generation.

WOW! Surprisingly strong base very good sound. I had bought an Extrem 2 at first (gave it to my son). This has twice the umf of my Extreme. Very well built. Battery life is vert good. A bit on the heavy side but its worth every penny.

This is an amazing speaker considering it’s size and portability.At first I thought the sound had some issues with mid range. The key fix is that the iPhone is the equalizer. Go to settings > music > Eq. Change to Late Night.The sound is much better and even louder.Bass is epic.
