Just to clarify, I don't have a hernia. I work out in the gym often and I wanted extra support for my lower abdomen. I found this particular item and it appealed to me. I decided to wear it on my next work out. I was surprised how much more support I got especially in attempting heavy lifts. Needless to say, I wear it now every time I go to the gym.At first it was somewhat uncomfortable but I got used it so wearing this item is no big deal.If you want to add some extra protection against the possibility of developing a hernia, this item will help.
