This is a very nice flat iron and it works well. The plates are smooth and glide through the hair. The all over finish is also smooth so it doesn't catch your hair. I like the design of it. You can see the temperature in the digital window. It heats up as high as 450 degrees. It has a nice little velvet bag to carry it in and it comes with a protective mitt and hair clips for styling. Has a high end/professional feel to it.

I was looking for a 1/2 inch flat iron saw this one and decided to give it a try. The plates make good contact front to back, which is important. You have a choice of heat settings. Big Plus Swivel cord and you can lock it closed for travel. The plates glide effortlessly through the hair. It is a well made flat iron and has some weight to it. Not like some I’ve ordered that are light weight, cheaply made and the plates go bad in no time. Not long ago when they had a deal on it I ordered another one for my daughter. I’m very satisfied and from my own experience I would highly recommend. 😊

This is not only a high quality flat iron, but it is very beautiful & with it's smaller size & the way it locks together- it is perfect for travel.I have a bob and actually use this for touch-ups on my hair. I use a brush-style straighter to straighten my hair after I blow dry it, as my hair is thick, curly & course & I find the brush style straighters to be better at doing my type of hair more quickly. ( I'm not the most patient person) However, 2 things that the brush straighters aren't good at is getting close to the root & curling the ends of my hair under, specifically in the back. When I had longer hair, this wasn't as much of an issue, but when I got my bob hair cut, I found that I definitely needed a flat iron to do these tasks. I wanted something small, so it would be easy to maneuver it behind my head to smooth all the hairs under, so they all laid properly. I also use it to straighten any hairs at the crown that the brush straightner didn't get, as well as any other touch up's.In between shampoos, it is the only tool I use to touch up any waves that may start to show it my hair. With my type of hair, you have to shampoo less frequently, so I use dry shampoo & ghost dry oil conditioner to prolong it.Personally I could not straighten my whole head with this flat iron. I don't have the patience. But for my roots, ends and for touch up's, it's an absolute dream.I'm sure however, if I got the larger size (I got the 0.5) and methodically did my whole head with the help of the clips (Also a nice touch. I always wanted clips. They're nice ones too.) this flat iron would produce gorgeous results. I just personally choose to use it as a touch up tool. It's wonderful for what I've chosen it for.It has a nice LED window that tells temp & it heats up FAST. It's really a great flat iron. But do keep in mind when you are getting this, that it is a MINI flat iron, so it's not full size. But I absolutely love mine.

I absolutely love that this straightening iron goes below 300℉, that's the exact reason I chose this one.I have thin and fine hair, a short/medium hairstyle (layered bob) and use it to curl my hair a little around my face.I tried other straighteners before, but it turned out that everything above 300℉ is too hot for my thin and fine strands.Using the 290℉ setting leaves my thin strands curled and very shiny!! I do use the TreSemme Heat Protecor spray on the dry strands before curling, it dries in less a minute, which is great.The total length of the iron is 10" (cord not included), it's very compact but still longer than a mini iron. I tried a real mini iron before and it's just too short for me to handle, despite my small hands.This size is perfect, and I just love the 0.5" width.I can't think of anything negative to say about this straightener.5 stars from me!

I approve this flat iron for hair that’s in the 3-4 texture group. This flat iron does get hot!! 450 is like 460 (I feel like this may get slightly hotter than the “RED by KISS Pro Titanium Flat Iron“. Although I like how that one feels of better quality.)This flat iron is super light and if you drop it that’s the end of it. I did purchase this when it was 15.99, so it’s not a complete loss if this happens.I am extremely disappointed about the error that was made when ordering. I initially wanted the 1.75 size and got the 1.5.The quality of the flat iron is nice. Ordering it was the only issue. Will purchase either the 1in or 1.75 *eye roll* and update my review.

It's just about impossible to find a half inch flat iron that goes to 450 degrees, but this one does exactly that! My hair is tough to straighten so that 450 is really important. Heats up really fast, consistent temperature, cuts the straightening time by at least a third! I've had this for a few weeks, and so happy! Price was good too.
