Alex Evenings Women's Long Cowl Back Dress (Petite and Regular)

I first tried on this dress at Dillard's and was too small, even though it was my correct size. I found it on Amazon and bought it 2 sizes larger and I'm glad I did. It fits very well and it's stretchy which makes it more comfortable.

Pretty color but although I ordered the size I normally do (18) it gapped oddly at the bust and under the arms. I'm a 42 inch bust- but I just couldn't quite fill this out. It was pretty- and if it fit you right I'm sure it would be fine. Just be aware this dress seems to fit a little differently from some of the other Alex dresses of this size.

I bought this dress to wear to my son's spring, evening wedding. I loved it for its classic style, and it would have been perfect for the occasion. The cowl on the back of the dress is really pretty, and is something different from the many other dresses I tried. It fit true to size, and there is a little bit of sparkle on the top. I am only 5'2", and it looked pretty good on me, but would have looked better if I was taller. While it was one of my favorites, there were a few other dresses that looked better on my body type, so unfortunately I had to return it.

My mother purchased this for her mother of the bride dress. She absolutely loved it. The color is not super vibrant, but still more of a Royal blue than a navy. She is about 5’3 and 140 lbs, cup size is a B I believe, and the 6P fit her very well. As it shows on the model this dress does not fully touch the floor. My mom plans to wear shorter heels for the wedding than shown on the model so it is not as far off the ground. I don’t have a picture of the back on her, but the cowl back is adorable and just as shown. This dress is well made and very classy, perfect for the more modern mother of the bride (as opposed to the traditional dress/coat combo you often see). Would also be a gorgeous dress for bridesmaids. Good style for any shape, will most likely need to be worn with seamless panties and shape wear though. The only complaint my mother had was that the dress came in a bag that was ripped and torn, but the dress was still perfect.

The media could not be loaded.  My measurements are 46-40-46, 5'3". Usually, Alex Evenings' size 16 petite fits me best, but 16 regular also fits. I tried this cowl back, long, navy dress in 16. It was too small in the bust and torso. The prices fluctuated in July 2023 between $92.95 to $137.93.

The dress fit very well. The top where the lace had a lining, it was bulky. Overall though I love the dress.

Item received was delivered in clear plastic bag. No box for an expensive evening gown. Heavy perfume smell throughout fabric. My thoughts are it was worn and returned. Disappointed. Item returned.

Very nice dress however it is not for me. It was not flattering/did not fit me.
