Best version of the WLG so far!
Version 7 of the Guide is the best version so far. I purchased Version 6 in January 2015 and it was informative and very useful. However, Version 7 seems to be easier to use. I use the guide for listening to shortewave and to help me find interesting stations and shows available on my Grace Internet / WiFi radio. The guide is the only source I have found that covers all the ways I can listen to any radio format, from the analog local AM/FM stations, to the thousands of worldwide radio stations available via shortwave and on the Internet - whether I listen on my tablet or PC or on my Grace receiver. Great source to use alongside with my copy of the 2016 version of the WRTH.

Great book!
Bought this book with my purchase of an internet radio. Lists many stations and covers the time of broadcasts in UTC with North American time, so you can tune in. Covers all the radio formats on listening and even mentions some of radios history. If you love radio, you'll want this book.

Great info for newbies using a shortwave radio. Lists all the bands, frequencies, best time to pick up stations and lots more.

Very Good Book for Radio Enthusiasts!
This is a very handy and informative book. It covers the ins and outs of radio listening, including AM/FM/Short Wave/Streaming radio, and even satellite radio. On AM and FM, it also explains the newer HD AM and FM as well. The handy guide to finding programming by time (UTC world time) is very convenient, especially since it also has another similar guide for short wave. The only suggestions that I would make for improvements would be to add comprehensive radio reviews. With that, it might really fill the void left by the now-defunct Passport To World Band Radio.I highly recommend this book.

Great overview for beginner or geek
Great overview of various radio mediums without overwhelming you like some books. Yes, lots could change in the world of radio and programming so I wouldn't rely on it for my sole source of specific program information, but again it's a nice summary of what's available. I really like the history and descriptions of the various radio mediums - AM, FM, Shorwave, etc. The format of the book is easy to read and navigate. I especially like the spiral bound pages. Great book for a beginner or just a radio geek like me :)

Essential if a beginning SWL listener
Great guide for the beginner in SWL, as well as the veteran. The book will most definitely be more valuable to the beginner, but there is always something the vet can glean from it as well.

Decent, useful
Seems a little dated. Good basic information however which should help new SWLers. I think that shortwave like everything else in the information spectrum is changing faster than anyone can keep up with. Overall useful.
