The side lower compartments are bad. The left side one blocks access to tail gate handle so i fixed only the right side one which fell off while driving taking wll stored things with it. What a waste!

The spare tire organizer idea is a good one, however this product uses cheap zippers that fail on first use. Also if installed per the instructions, the 2 large semi-rigid bags that are designed to hang at the 3o'clock and 9o'clock positions mostly block the view of the tail/brake lights. So I moved the larger bags to the 2o'clock and 10o'clock positions and the smaller bags to 3 and 9 o'clock positions. It all fits OK, but now the tie-down snap buttons don't work any longer. So I am having 4 new button snaps installed so it will work. Also the zippers for the smaller bags, in addition to crappy zippers that I have to have replaced, are tacked at the top of the bag instead of at the bottom so when you unzip the bag, all your stuff falls out ( darn gravity!). I am having the top section removed and rotated 180 degrees on both bags so when you open the bag to get stuff if does not fall on the ground. I would have given product only 1 star except I can get use out of it after I have it redesigned and repaired with real zippers.

So I bought this for my Toyota FJ. Fit the spare tire perfectly. Luckily I loaded it up with my recovery gear and left it sitting for a couple of days. When I went back to check it one of the side bags popped off as soon as I touched it. Only thing holding it on is two curved plastic sleeves (that connect together) and a snap button. The weight of one 30’ recovery strap and one tree saver strap was enough straighten out the plastic. Also the 2 top bags zippers came apart first try. Might be ok for a trash bag or some xtra clothing.

I have had this product for 1 month now and I am having trouble with the plastic channels spreading out and safety catch mechanisms not holding. I had approx 15 lbs of tools in the long center bag, with the straps cinched up tight, but after some bouncing around on rough oilfield roads they fell off and the spring clasp held on till the cloth tab pulled from the bag. I lost $150 worth of tools. I figured it was my fault for putting in too much weight, and called bestop to purchase a new bag and try lightening the load. Bestop said they could not sell the bags individually. also the bags i have left rub against the back window and i am afraid i will scratch the window. I will buy or build a rack for over the tire storage. This bag seems to be for looks and not function.

The product came with missing clip for the top driver side bag, the other side is OK. An expensive product like this should have been QC/QA before it was delivered.

EASY TO PUT ON AND TAKE OFF.LOOKS GOOD.SOME THINGS DID GET WET IN VERY HEAVY RAIN ON THE INTERSTATE.REMINDS ME OF PUTTING THE SADDLE ON MY HORSE WHEN I WAS A KID.
