Q: Many 500 piece puzzles are a larger size than 20.5 X 15.5". I've just ordered this puzzle case and am concerned. Do I need puzzles smaller than your described size?

Hi the manufactures of puzzles make their 500 sizes in many different sizes below is a chart of what will and not fit but if the puzzle pieces are larger than normal or extra large pieces they wont fit, always check the puzzle sizes when buying. Needs to be a bigger case. This one works really well! Quality is great.

Q: Actual dimensions of the outside of the case. Surely not 3" thick when all closed up? Want to store flat under trailer cushion.

Hi,Yes it does come with the board as well as the 2 sorting trays. I have both the 500 and the 1000 piece cases....and they are wonderful. Really well made.
