Tube Squeezing Gizmo How did you come up with the idea for this product? I was bothered by how expensive travel sized toothpaste was and wanted to figure out a way to reseal a smaller tube after I cut its end off and refilled it with the contents of a larger tube. After many revisions came the current design of Squizmo, and I realized it was an excellent tube squeezer. What makes your product special? Unlike other tube squeezers, Squizmo uses a rubber gripping material that simultatneously grips the tube and compresses it. This helps dispense the entire contents of the tube, with the least amount of force. Don't forget that Squizmo is 3D printed. Good luck finding another product that is 3D printed and that you use regularly. What has been the best part of your startup experience? Being able to sell a product that was designed and built in my house to people all over the world, from local Maker Faires to countries like Romania, Dubai and Singapore. Not revolutionary but gives a great squeeze
We've used different toothpaste squeezers over the years, mostly cheap plastic ones from the dollar store. I decided to try out a more expensive one so I bought this Squizmo (plus I wanted to get a look at a 3D-printed gadget!). It definitely does a good job squeezing the last stuff out of a tube, but I'm not convinced it's so much better at the job than the cheap ones I've always used.This works the same way as always---stick the flat end of a partially used tube into the end, and start rolling it up. The tube feeds around the roller head and pushes the product up to the top of the tube. I used this on toothpaste that had already been in the cheap squeezer, and the Squizmo did seem to get the tube flatter, so good job. The 3D printing process left some rough edges and scratchy bits on mine, but that didn't affect functionality.Because it does squeeze the tube super-flat, getting absolutely all the product out of the tube, this Squizmo is probably a good investment for pricey creams and medications. For toothpaste, a cheap squeezer is good enough.

Awesome little gadget!
What an awesome little gadget! I have little hand strength due to arthritis and tubes are always a problem for me. I have used several other tube squeezers to no avail. With Squizmo - Problem solved! Truly life changing! :-)

Not quite sturdy enough for my liking
Not quite sturdy enough for my liking. But it does work and it works well...just be careful not to break it.

Plastic not real strong
This is really a cool concept and it did work for a while but the twist handle on it to role the tube of toothpaste up broke off and now I can't use it.

Not worth it!
I am so disappointed with this purchase. Nothing like I thought it would be. Definitely would not do again.

Great while it lasts...
I love my Squizmo... That is - the one that hasn't broken yet. While it is 3d printed, the plastic handle didn't hold up to use on the first one. I still have a second one, although cracks are beginning to appear on the handle portion so I fear it isn't long until it breaks too. (bought them a year ago on the kickstarter campaign). Note - it really does a great job of squeezing everything out of the tube!
