The Hard Hat for Kids: A Story About 10 Ways to Be a Great Teammate

The book featured kids of various ethnicities and had a very positive story and lesson. I really liked it.

I love this book and the message that it relays. This is a story about a girl on a basketball team who learns what it means to be a great teammate and comes to understand that "We Before Me" is more valuable then meeting your own needs when working in a team. I am using this story with my students who range from 6th grade through high school with kids with developmental disabilities. The underlying values in this story carry over to all walks of life including hanging out in the cafeteria, during recess, maintaining social friendships and skills necessary on a job site. I highly recommend this book!

Loved this delightful story. I coached a 6 year old basketball team and at the last game, I gave each of my players this book along with a small note inside. I hope the message will instill a sense of teamwork and good sportsmanship for their entire basketball journey.

This was for our grandkids (ages 8 and 6). They liked the book and had good questions along the way. They were quick to realize that being a good teammate is not only for sports teams, but also as siblings. This is a great teaching tool!

Such a great story! A great reminder for kids and adults.
