Purchased two of these and love them.Several negative reviews for this inexpensive fire cover. Totally wrong in my opinion, they look fantastic, we're well packaged, easily assembled and completely un-damaged. Also packaged with extra magnets if you run into that reported issue (mine were all perfect).Metal is not very thick but they are sturdy and solid in quality with good hinges and components. Nice and square no leaning doors. Would buy again no question!

A little blown away by the reviews on this product. They are the reason I purchased it in the first place.Warning, you get what you pay for. When you search fireplace screens you see a variety but many of them are $200 and up. Then you see this one, $100, and see the great star rating, and make a purchase.The box arrived beat up to begin with but the item did not appear to be damaged when removing it from the packaging. It was packaged decent, tight with a load of bubble wrap. It wasn't until I unfolded the unit to start noticing things. First, the front doors swing open but stay closed with magnets. The magnets are thin, thinner than a dime,, and arrived shattered with pieces stuck to various parts of the frame. There are still enough magnets to hold the door closed when standing and to be honest, any stronger of a magnet and it would be impossible to open the doors without causing the entire screen to fall over. There is no weight to the whole unit, when the doors are open it will tip over. I had to use 3M tape to secure it the best that I could, but still not good enough. I was afraid to hang the fireplace tools on it, it is that unbalanced. Maybe if the foldable sides are kept at a perfect 90° angle it will stand better, but if you plan to angle them any further, prepare for a wobbly screen that wants to fall on you. They should have included some feet with the screen.What can I say? You get what you pay for. If I had the choice again, I would have went with a more expensive design because I am now always looking to see if the screen is still standing or waiting for it to crash in the middle of the night. Spend your money elsewhere are prepare for modifications, this unit just isn't it.

I needed something to prevent the sparks from my fireplace going into my carpet. This was mounted to the wall and is absolutely perfect!

Arrived broken in the box. The way it was packaged would make me assume it didn't break in route...it was packaged great. I feel like the pieces that were broken were just poor quality. The magnets that hold the doors closed crumbled and fell off as soon as I took it out of the box. We will have to buy small magnets and rig this ourselves. Also, very top heavy. If either or both doors are open, expect the entire thing to topple over.

This is perfect for my tile floors, detailing my car. I can't wait to try it out on other stuff!

This is very unstable. We can't use it with the sides angled rather we lean it against the brick. At first we thought the hearth wasnt level. But after getting the level out we realized it is built off balance. Opening the doors the whole thing falls out on you. The tools are sturdy though.

I found my woodburner difficult to open to put logs on so have taken the door off and use it as an open fire. It burns far less wood, but obviously less safe without a guard. I have drilled and screwed the fully open guard to the surround to secure it and find the door abd handles do not get hot as it’s about four inches out from the burning wood. The doors are easy to open to refuel the stove and the magnets keep it closed. It also looks pretty good.
