Reliable, efficient, they do the job that Kohler's cheap hardware should have done.
Update: January 2025I rarely review products, and almost never return to update the reviews. This product is worth an update. In case you're stuck with the never-did-work Kohler touch flush toilets, this thing will fix your problems. I have two of these Kohler toilets. One worked pretty well, burning through batteries ever 3 to 4 months. The other went south pretty early, requiring four new AA batteries EVERY WEEK to 10 days. The "working" toilet start failing, which is when I decided to take the leap of faith (based in variable reviews), and buy these replacements. After six months, they work well. There is an optional sensitivity adjustment, which consists of two screws embedded into the circuit board, which are quite difficult to access and turn with a Phillips screwdriver. To flush one of two units , one almost had to put his hand right over the unit, a half inch above. The other worked better. I adjusted both, made them too sensitive, and now they flush as soon as you're in front of it, when you sit on the seat, when you scratch your nose, i.e. you get the picture. No big deal. I decided to wait until the batteries died, and then fix then both. Well, there's a problem with that plan. It's been seven months, and the batteries are still going strong. Because of my errant settings, these things probably flush 3x more than necessary. And yet, the batteries show no sign of failing yet. THAT'S AN OUTSTANDING IMPROVEMENT over Kohler's sh**t.I'm not sure how reliable these units will be over the long haul (per other reviews), but right now, they just work, they work well, and they work efficiently enough that the batteries seem to last forever.Increased review to 5 stars.Original Review (7/24):Bought this over a year ago, but didn't get it installed until early this year. Thus far, operates great. It's overly sensitive, i.e. it flushes when you sit down, when anything is within 2 feet over the top of the tank, but that can (should) be adjusted, I just haven't gotten around to trying. My concern: MOST of the recent reviews are highly NEGATIVE, and all cite the same thing, i.e. a non-responsive vendor. Well, I have a second Kohler touchless toilet, with their defective OEM crap auto flushers, which quit after 6 years (the other one lasted 6 months). There aren't many retrofit solutions out there (I think most Kohler owners are just dumping the toilet, and never buying Kohler again), so we'll give this a second try.I guarantee that I'll be updating this review every 3 to 6 months, to see how long this lasts. If this vendor/product deserve it, I'll write about it and update the rating to match.

Amazing little kit, easy to install, working on incl batteries for months
I purchased this for a guest room toilet to remove the need for anyone to touch it to flush. Im a bit OCD with hygiene and with keeping the nice ToTo chrome toilet handle spotless and free of fingerprints. The product arrived quickly and packaged nicely to ensure safe transport.Installation was simple and made even easier by the included QR code that directs you to watch a short youtube install video. I slowed the video down to the slowest speed in order to keep up. Installation took me less than 5 minutes, no exaggeration. As others have mentioned it would be more ideal if the flush length could be extended to 7+ second, ideally up to a maximum of 10 seconds would be ideal. This means that when this device flushes, it can hold the flush valve open for a maximum of 7 seconds. There is a very small phillips screw that sets the length of time to keep the valve open. On my unit, the adjustment screw was covered in glue, a flick with a metal nail file was all that was needed to remove the glue but it should not have been covered. I had to locate a small enough phillips (ideally an electronics repair kit or eyeglass repair kit) that would fit in the tiny adjustment screw. It would be courteous for the manufacturer to have provided one but some people may not need to adjust the flush length at all. Default flush hold is 4-5 seconds long. I increased my unit to the maximum of 7 seconds which is sufficient to flush the toilet properly but ideally 9 seconds would have been better. From the description I was hoping that this unit could flush the toilet automatically when a guest moved away from the toilet or within some time set intervals, just to insure that the toilet is flushed on its own, with or without any usage. This unit does not do that. This unit solely provides a non-touch flush by motion sensor, you must wave your hand over the top of the toilet lid to activate the flush. The product comes with a chrome hand-wave sticker that you can place on top of your toilet to inform guests that they can just wave their hand over the toilet to flush it. The pickup sensitivity on the motion sensor has an adjustment screw, identical to the adjustment screw for the flush length, and is located right next to the flush length adjustment. I did not need to adjust the flush motion sensitivity.I have been using the unit for several months now and it has worked 100% of the time, still operating on the included 4 batteries. The unit makes no noise when activating a flush, if it does make a noise it is inaudible due to the flushing of the toilet.I would definitely recommend this to others.

These are great, but only seem to last a couple years.
I love this automated toilet flusher idea. it is easy to set up, works great and is reliable. I have 2 of them, (one in each bathroom), and they work perfectly for about 2-2.5 years. However, after a couple years, something goes wrong with the circuit board and the motor where the rotation of the motor is not perfectly calibrated anymore. In normal usage, when motion is detected, the motor will rotate the motor which pulls the chain up and allows the toilet to flush. This movement is calibrated well, and has consistent movement from the bottom of the rotation to the top of the rotation. However, in both of my bathrooms, after 2 years, it seems that the circuit board is unable to rotate the flush mechanism the same amount both forwards and backwards. So the toilet will flush fine once, but then when it resets, it resets into a differnet location than previous. and by the next time you flush, the rotation doesnt even have enough pull on the chain to make any movement, so nothing happens. If you keep waving your hand over it, eventually it will get to the correct position again where the chain pulls up on the flusher in the right amount, but then it takes a few other attempts to get it to work again.so it seems that the unit slowly loses calibration over the course of about 2 years, flushing an average of 3-4 times a day. just be wary of this.Other than that, this is an awesome device that is cost-effective and works well!
