Quick fun craft
A fun, quick, simple craft to do with the kids on a long summer day! Can be a bit messy so consider doing this out on the porch if you can! I was stepping on teeny tiny wax balls for days! The candles came out very cute and my kids are very proud of their work.

Crafting aspect is somewhat underwhelming, but makes pretty candles
I got this for my kids (5 and 7 years old). We made the candles right away, and it was fun, but it took at most 10 minutes. You pour in the wax granules to make multi-colored layers and poke with the supplied stick to make a bit of a pattern, and that's it. We didn't find other ways to use the materials creatively. The containers are quite small (the smallest is like a shot glass, the other two a bit bigger), and the instructions were a bit vague, especially on trimming the wick. We may have left it too long, at the first lighting, only the wick burned and the wax didn't start to melt or burn. But after digging around a bit with the match, I was able to get all candles to burn. Once they've burned for a bit, the top melts and there is a solid wax layer. And then they made pretty additions to our breakfast and dinner tables on the following few days.

My 6 year old son absolutely loved this!
Loved how easy this was for my son to make. He was so proud of himself! Colors were different than the package, but that's fine.

Short entertainment, pretty to look at but not so usable
PROS: Very easy to use, so even little kids can follow (I've used this with Pre-K to 5th grade kids). Looks really pretty so kids actually want to keep their projects after the craft is over. Colors are soft and pretty.CONS: project lasts for about 15 minutes tops. The wax is all grainy so they spill and doesn't stay together. Doesn't light very well.

Candles do not light
Product didn't come with 5 colors like advertised but instead only 3. The wick is just string and goes out after lighting. Better off buying from local dollar store.

Just ok
My son had to make a candle for a school project. This ended up being nearly impossible to make the top solid enough for travel since it’s little wax beads, but in the oven on broil I managed to seal the top. It comes with a long cotton wick you’ll need to measure and cut and the containers are palm size.
