I have a onetouch meter and am not happy with it. I purchased this OnCall meter and find it to be much more user friendly. I only have to touch the test strip once to place in meter and eject when finished. The test strips are very reasonable priced and economical to use. It came with 100 test strips and lancets. Recommend it highly.

I like the large size test strips. I'm 76 and have trouble will race toward smaller and smaller test strips.This one suits me fine.

Bought this because I was concerned I might have diabetes. Comes with calibration solution.

I purchased this meter because a different model that I had has been showing high readings every morning even though I follow a LOCARB diet. I’m not a diabetic and my A1Cs have been in the low 5’s so it baffled me why my blood sugars would be in the low 100s every morning where they used to be in the low 90’s. I don’t know maybe my other model is becoming defective who knows.( I stored it away in the cold basement with other items I store for the winter and haven’t used it in like 4 months.) I brought it upstairs and left it in the bathroom medicine cabinet and decided to start using it the beginning of this year. I decided to purchase the ON CALL EXPRESS II because it was an inexpensive device as well as the strips. I decided to take my readings on both devices. When I compared the readings side by side with the same drop of blood, my old meter read 88 and the ON CALL EXPRESS II showed a reading of 68 I took it again after I ate and my old meter read 115 and the ON CALL EPRESS II showed a reading of 95. Thats a 20 point difference. How do you know which one is correct??? This would be terrible if I were a diabetic. I guess what I’m going to do is when I get my blood work done I’ll take my readings with both meters right before they take my blood and after they take my blood and compare the readings when I get my results back. Only then will I know which meter is correct.

It’s ease of use and very accurate readings make it easier to keep grandmas blood sugar under control..recommend!

I am prediabetic and have been trying out a few different brands of glucose meters. This one seemed to be pretty decent although it consistently gave me lower readings than my first meter which seemed to be very consistent. I checked a new bottle of strips against the control solution and the strip was not within any of the ranges. I tried five more strips and none were within any of the control ranges on the vial of strips. Having seen that, I decided to stop using this meter and I bought an Okra along with my original meter.This one is inexpensive, easy to use, and seemed to be made well but, if it isn't accurate and can't even get within the test solution parameters, I don't want to use it. I will say that it was never really crazy as far as readings go and, although it read lower than my original meter, seemed to consistently be around 10-15 points lower. I was hoping this On Call meter would be one I could rely on it because it is so affordable but unfortunately, I lost confidence in it now.
