After reading many reviews I was quite hesitant on the purchase of 2 of these to light up a very dimly lit basement.It's true, no ground wire.It's true, the box is so small it does not cover the hole in the ceiling. I agree this was a flaw in design.Here's what we did to make the light work. We purchased 2 16 inch ceiling medallions from Menards (my wife's brilliant idea she obtained from HGTV) for $12 each which fits perfectly over the fixture box. You do have to adhere the medallion to the ceiling, however, which we did easy enough with double sided gorilla tape just around the hole so as not to destroy a large part of the ceiling should we ever need to take it down. The medallions gave it a finished look and the lights look terrific!Also, they take regular bulbs (we are using 60 wt) so that was a nice option. The lights replaced 2 big, dull, heavy, glass, globe lights which would have done some damage should they have fallen. The lights are super light and add character to any room. All sockets worked great. The basement now with 10 total bulbs lit is an inviting and fun place to be. We added a dimmer for more control and ambiance when watching TV.So besides the negatives listed here and in other posts, the lights ended up working and looking great. It's been 3 days now and so far so good...

The look of this light is spot on! We love it and it completed our laundry perfectly! It does put off a great amount of heat, but we don’t stay in there for hours so it works fine for us. The brightness in the room has made a huge difference!The instillation was tough because the directions do not explain how to at all. Luckily my husband is pretty good at that stuff and got it installed correctly. Manufactures really need to draw up new instructions though because there is no way I could have done it correctly on my own!

My husband had a few choice words installing this light fixture. He said it was the hardest light he’s ever installed. There were no instructions included and the online instructions sucked. Overall, since I didn’t install it and just look at it, I love it. Puts off wonderful light and matches our industrial theme.

This light fixture has a lot of style for a flushmount (or semi-fushmount) light and was the right price. We were looking for a low profile fixture to hang in our gym beneath a soffit and didn't want to spend a lot of money. This light fixture fits the bill and looks fantastic. With a fixture such as this - the light bulbs are exposed and the bulbs you choose will have a large impact on the overall "look". We went with edison bulb style LED bulbs - similar to the ones shown in the picture and it really helped complete the look. I would highly recommend this light for those looking for a low cost, stylish, low profile ceiling light.

I order 2 of these. The first order was a little bent and 1 socket didn’t work. I returned that one and ordered another which worked out better because it was on deal of the day. I used one in my kitchen and the other over the breakfast area and put that one on a dimmer. They put off a ton of light!!!If using in your kitchen I suggest a 40w equivalent led Edison bulb with a 4000 kelvin rating. If you go any higher it’s way to much! I personally would have liked a little lower of a kelvin rating but my husband disagreed. LolAnd as for all the people complaining about installation, clearly should not have been doing it themselves! Yes they aren’t labeled like the US labels. Easy trial and error 50/50 shot at getting it right. My husband had them both up in about 30 minutes. Hole too large for your fixture? That again is your own fault. Buy a celiling medallion or something. We didn’t have an issue with either.(Please ignore the lack of crown molding spaces! We aren’t done yet. Lol)

Install was not bad, but a little trickier than most ceiling fixtures due to difficult cover plate screw placement. Took about 15 minutes. Not sure why they sent silver colored screws to go into a black cover plate. That was my biggest disappointment, screws are noticeable and they shouldn't be.

Love the look of this light. The only issue I had installing wasnt due to this light but to the ceiling from a previous light installation. The light installed easy. Some reviews say there isn't a grounding wire but ours was included. The material was light but strong. We went with the daylight Edison lights instead of warm light so that way it is brighter. For the price this is an amazing buy!

I bought this light. Just had it installed by an electrician and it’s faulty. One socket does not work as shown in the picture.I have passed the return date by 2 weeks because I was unable to get it installed until today and can no longer return it.
