I don't know what it is, but this little bar of shampoo makes my waves behave better than anything else I've ever used in the history of ever. I have fine, naturally wavy hair. It waves up amazingly in humid conditions, or it can easily dry straight with body anywhere, or it can frizz and knot up with the wrong products. With this, I can wash my hair, use nothing else, towel-tousle and air dry, and it comes out looking like this. That picture doesn't even do it justice compared to what I see in the mirror. If you have fine wavy hair give it a try. I'm not a huge fan of the smell, but it's completely tolerable given what it does to my hair and it doesn't linger at all so you only really catch it when sudsing up. (The volume one smelled nice: https://amzn.to/3H30GAB ) I find I have to do a few repeated scrubs in the shower to get the best action out of the bar, but my hair comes out clean and balanced. If I remember correctly, I didn't like the conditioner bar ( https://amzn.to/3QCgmOr ) or really find it necessary. I have other conditioners if I want to use them, but like I said this on its own makes it so I don't really need one, or any other products. Also, these things last forever so don't let the price balk you, it's actually a steal for 4-6+ months of shampoo depending on how you use it.

I've used this (soothe/yellow) bar shampoo for 3 times now and this is the best shampoo so far. As you can see from the image, my Virgin hair is quite smooth and sleek but the mid section to bottom is very dry, dull and thirsty looking from being bleached for a long time (black to platinum blonde). I don't like using moisturizing shampoos because they leave gunky texture and tend to weigh my hair down when it is flat already. I chose soothe/ yellow one because of my sensitive skin that I have to deal with. The skin around my neck gets very sensitive and react badly to certain shampoos so I have to be very careful when I choose shampoos. If you ever have suffered with rashes and itchy skin, you probably feel my pain TT.TTI didn't expect much from this little gal but it really does the job! I always pre-wash my hair to get all the dirt out first then wash cleanly again. This bar shampoo lathers so well and it gives squeaky clean feeling when you wash your hair. Since my number one purpose of using this shampoo was for soothing skin, I didn't mind my hair being dry or brittle from using this squeaky clean effect shampoo. "As long as this doesn't upset my skin, it'll be all good" that's what I thought but the frosty part of my hair wasn't that brittle at all after washing my hair with it. It of course isn't hydrating but it's actually not that bad. If you have sensitive skin like I do, I definitely recommend this bar shampoo. It's kind of small and might not last very long time for a long hair like mine but I still love this. Give it a try!

Suds really easily and is really foamy! I have thick but fine hair and struggled with my scalp for a while. I wash my hair everyday now with it and it doesn’t dry it out. I have the no fragrance kind and it’s really gentle. Definitely the best shampoo bar I’ve tried!

I've stopped using liquid shampoo. The stuff really works. My scalp is no longer flaky and people with sensitive scalp wil all enjoy this because the scent is almost non-existent. keeps your hair clean doesn't feel stripped of natural oils and it doesn't gets so oily after a day. The bar lasts a really long time as well

I love the way this product lathers and cleans my hair—I never have any residue left from hair products after I use it. Only rated 3 star for moisturizing since I don’t think that’s the goal.I have not noticed a particularly volumizing effect. It helps with the oiliness (I have pretty oily hair, but it’s not out of control) but not more than any other shampoo for dry hair. That said, it does the job and it does it well.BUT THE SMELL. I bought a solid conditioner from Hibar before and it also smelled bad, but I figured it was just a matter of taste or a one-off, so I gave them another try. This is a different scent (first one was some sort of orange, I believe?), but the underlying scent is still there.It smells like pee. Specifically, cat pee. The top notes are there: orange, lime, fresh, whatever it claims to be. But the overwhelming scent of the product is not dissimilar to urine. I haven’t had COVID; this isn’t a Yankee Candle “why-can’t-I-smell-it” type of deal. It just straight up smells like urine. I can even smell it when I walk into the bathroom, without even using it (yes, I clean my bathroom, it’s not that.). It’s really unenjoyable. I like the products well enough, but not so much that I want to suffer through a pee stench to use them. I want my hair to smell good, or at the bare minimum, at least not like urine.I figured I was going crazy since I haven’t seen many other reviews complaining about the smell, but my boyfriend noticed the same thing. The first time he used it, he said it smelled like cat pee. And that orange conditioner bar I bought a few months back also smelled like pee. I don’t recommend for this reason. If you can’t smell or like the smell of pee, I do recommend. Solid product otherwise.

Love this bar shampoo. Lathers full and fast and last quite a long time. I wish it was scented but that would never stop me from using it, just a thought.
