There’s a lot of 1 star reviews from people who haven’t purchased the album... But aside from these concerned citizens who have invested valuable time into trying to warn people of the dangers of listening to Cannibal Corpse you’ll find this album to be one of the best death metal albums ever made. There’s a major shift in Barnes songwritingns to an AB-AB-CD-AB-AB type songwriting in terms of lyrics and chorus, unlike the earlier, long, malevolent essays he wrote which are probably hard to memorize during live shows. The band also experimented with different tempos and added variety, along with a ton of groove, setting the stage for what would become Cannibal Corpse for years to come. Like Vile and Torture this album has variety, lots of audible double bass kicks, audible bass, and a nice semblance of catchiness. Arranged as a “best of” or “greatest hits” album, where almost every song is patterned to a pop song structure, this album is awesome and easy to follow along. Definitely a good intro album for anyone looking to get into death metal, and one of the best Cannibal Corpse albums ever released. One of the last albums where the band maintained a very creepy and horrific sound to match their lyrics, expect less technical riffs and blast beats but a lot more soul and character. Just buy it.

This is my favorite Cannibal album. From start to finish this is a great album. Stripped Raped and Strangled might be the coolest riff and most catchy CC chorus I know of. This version has an extra track as well. If you are a fan of death metal, buy this!

I must say this band never loses its bite. I'm never disappointed in whatever they are doing. This album is no exception and every song is good. Long live Cannibal Corpse!! 👍👍👍

When I think Cannibal Corpse, I think brutal artwork, brutal lyrics and brutal sound. And I certainly do not buy the CD with the artwork in mind. This is a painful assault on the ears from start to finish, and unfortunately the last Chris Barnes album. But he sure does give one hell of a final impression! The riffs, drumming, vocals and lyrics are all top notch and leave you feeling a little disturbed. Second only to 'Tomb Of The Mutilated'.

The Best Cannibal Corpse album imo get the original CD I have both The Remastered and the Original thats how great this album is

Still one of the best death metal albums ever. I re-bought this album on cd cause pretty much all of my albums from this time period and before are all on tape. I couldn't get into Cannibal Corpse after Chris Barnes left so I stick to their earlier albums which in my opinion are still by far the best.

The remastered version of this classic album pumps up the bass drum and bass guitar to make it sound more "modern". Personally, I like the original mix with guitars and vocals in the forefront. The album has some of the best guitar riffs in death metal and the lyrics are fantastic, vulgar, but you will be singing along I guarantee it.

I had just started getting into death metal again. The only other death metal album I had was Six Feet Under's Haunted. This album blows that one away by comparison. It's much more brutal guitar work and overall faster riffery and drumming make it a more intense listening experience. The vocals are the classic death metal growl/roar that the genere is known for and the lyrical content is exactly what I was expecting. This album rocked a squirrel's leg right off its corpse, it was that brutal. It's good music for making Metal Chili, drinking beer, driving a bit too fast, celebrating a successful hunt, etc. I can't compare it to any other Cannibal Corpse albums since this is the only one I have, but if you like Death Metal you'll like this one.

A Death Metal album that for all the gore lyrics, the violent lyrics, this album actually has a melody in the guitars you might not expect. I,m not the biggest Death Metal fan, i only buy the odd one, BUT this is one of the best metal albums fullstop of any genre. The melody might be a very heavy one but it is definitely there, and it is catchy, again in a very heavy way but you can somehow hum to the melody underneath the gore lyrics and brutal music. The band did this on purpose and it works for me, buy you will be surprised and even shocked even if you hate Death Metal.

Great album by a great band, well worth the asking price

Lovely design and folds open with some great photography of all members. Always great to see lyrics inside too! The actual vinyl its self was pure white, which I loved. The music itself was brutal as always with some really technical riffs and brutal growls!

Hier sind noch Vokals von ChrisBarnes zu hören,.Eigentlich für mich persönlich kein Dramatischer wechsel, dass er von GeorgeFisher abgelöst wurde, da er sich lieber "SixFeetUnder" witmen wollte,. beide sind wirklich Klasse,. leider sind die Chris Barnes Sachen nichtmehr so leicht zu bekommen wegen Index (Siehe ButcheredAtBirth und HammerSmashedFace) etc,. Aber ich finde ChrisBarnes hat einfach noch eine andere Tiefe in seinen Growls die den Hörgenuss für mich Persönlich noch etwas angenehmer macht,. Habe mir dieses, wie auch andere Alben von CannibalCorpse als Vinyl Gekauft, Analog ist einfach das beste,. und die Stimmung eine weitreichendere,. Geiles Album vom ersten bis zum letzten Track TOP!Vinyl kommt mit Poster, und LyricInlay,. TOP!

Absoluta obra maestral del Brutal Death. Barnes canta maravillosamente con una voz cavernosa grave. Las guitarras sobresaliente y las letras son de un ingles medio, nada dificiles como suele ocurrir en otros discos Death. Pero lo mejor de todo es la presentacion del Cd, con la letras en el carton desplegable perfectamente visibles, nada pequeñas y por último los dibujos están muy bien. Muy recomendable este producto.

Last album with the first singer for the 4 album, you can see that he is having difficulties with his voices, good songs nonehteless.

Disco che ho recuperato dopo tanti anni ,un po' di nostalgia sicuramente influenza il giudizio ma Disco cult assolutamente da avere,ogni pezzo secondo me è stupendo e non ripetitivo come tanti dischi di quel genere,Riff veramente esagerati ,voce da brividi ,top!
