Great ranging device
I own a SIG Kilo 1000 and have issues with ranging beyond 700yards. This Athlon gives more consistent readings up to 1000 yards, definitely worth the money. It really works for me, I recommend it.

this is very accurate and works well for archery
i upgraded from a cheap leupold rangefinder to this one and it works super well the 1/10 yard reading is very handy and super accurate

Good entry level
It’s a good rangefinder, lacks a bit in optical quality but extremely light

1050 yards is as far as it will go
1050 yards is as far as it will go. Ive tried all the settings and a wide variety of terrain.

Amazing
Don’t be deterred by people saying vortex or other name brands are the only ones to get. This thing does the job at a great price. Optical clarity is great. Solid feel.

Doesn’t work at all
Ordered one. Didn’t work at all with included battery. Tried with new batteries, still didn’t work at all. Returned first one and ordered a second, thinking maybe I just got a bad one. Second one also didn’t work at all. What a joke and waste of my time.

It is accurate
I use this for coyote hunting and testing where distance accuracy is needed. It passed the top of the phone pole test to show the accuracy of the laser beam. I tried out a vortex and it failed at a local cabellas. It was almost twice the price. I have an Athlon Aries btr gen 2 scope. This will pair good with that.

Know your needs
I’ll preface this review by saying I bought this based on some reviews from others and generally the gist of those reviews was “good as Vortex for less money” so given that I’d just lost my Vortex during a hunt, I thought I’d give this one a try.I primarily use my rangefinder for hunting both archery and rifle, I also shoot 2-3 3D archery shoots a year. So it’s kinda important that it’s accurate. Here’s what I’ve found.Pros: Accurate at close ranges. Say less than 100 yards if I’m being generous. Also if terrain is relatively flat.Cons: Consistently ranges 2-3 yards longer than my friends who use Vortex. Where this rangefinder is particularly bad is on angle compensation and ranging over 300 yards on a non-reflective target. At a recent 3D shoot, I would’ve missed nearly all the steep angles shots over 60 yards if it weren’t for my friends calling ranges with their Vortex rangefinders. So anyway, I’d say this is a good product in general, but for technical shooting, spend the extra money and get a higher quality device. Also, maybe here nor there but this Athlon is way cheap feeling/light compared to Vortex…
