Sculpted one of a kind carved stoneware urn with high relief carvings of water falls and mountain cliffs. the lid is carved clouds to top off this beautiful and fun urn. First I roll out clay slabs and create the basic form of the urn, Then, after carefully drying the urn to the leather hard stage, I carve the trees, rocks and the waterfall. See the hut on the rock ledge? For a hermit on retreat. Then I threw the basic shape of the lid and built up clay on top. When this was leather hard, I carved this to make the clouds. When the urn is dry, I bisc fire it. Then I paint on my specially formulated glazes. The urn is then fired to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit, making it extremely vitreous and durable, to last a lifetime and longer. 17" height 7" width 2"-3" depth 250 cubic inch volume
