Stress and Trauma (Clinical Psychology: A Modular Course)

The implementation of outlook followed in a structured foundation by the author's supporting evidence kept me in tune to each topic. I'd recommend this to a fellow student or personnel working attuned to this field of the human mind. The fifth star is left blank, while it cannot partially be filled, because my interests remained at times more so for my obligations in Psychological Trauma this semester. Some deeper insight could be granted for exemplary examples to intervene between objective modules and more relatable subjectivity... and such

Bought this for a course in my MSW program. I enjoyed the class and we really used the book from front to back. This book has a lot of usuful information if you are looking to start running groups or working with clients in your practicum. I plan on keeping this text and not selling it back because of all the information that you can gain from this book. Im glad that I took the course because of this book!.

I really hated reading this book. This is not a criticism of the information that is actually included in it, because I can see how the book could be helpful for those looking for statistics regarding specific subjects within the field of trauma. However, it's very difficult to get a sense of the overall trends within the field from this book, as it's literally just a list of study findings that are so exhaustive that they often contradict one another. Could be helpful, but definitely not good for someone who's just looking to get a sense of psychology as relating to trauma and stress. For this, I would recommend Judy Herman's book.

Good general information for the newcomer to the field.

This textbook was an easy read yet informative and engaging. I finished it within 48 hours because I didn't want to put it down! I learned much from it and it contains current examples.

First time trying a text book like this. Would totally do again

The book got here very quickly, which is good if you procrastinated getting your books and was in perfect condition.

Very easy to read and understand. Thorough presentation of trauma. Organized well. A topic all practitioners need to understand.
