I'm nearly 60yrs old, and disabled. So cost efficiency, workmanship, and ease of the use of a product are important factors in the products I buy. I live in an old house with the old drain pipes leading into the orange board sewers now located under my concrete driveway. I get a lot of sewer gas smell that enters my home, and if I get a line stopped up it's not only going to be bad, it will be a huge expensive fix too.Enter the AFANTY 2 PCS Kitchen Sink Strainer. I have 3 other types of strainers at my house that this one will be permanently replacingHere's a quick review on the other types being replaced and Why.1)Is the typical one that's also used to hold the water in the sink, while you wash dishes. It most of the time likes to sit sideways in the sink when your letting the water out, but even when it's straight, it allows any med to small debris to go right on down around it when letting the water out. This one is great for stopping the water from going out while you're doing the dishes, but as a strainer it is a no go.2) The metal screen type strainer-This one although better than #1, is difficult to empty, as well as difficult to keep clean. The screen part gets nasty when the debris gets stuck all in the holes, and it takes a scrub brush to get it clean, but not without getting a few finger pokes from the screen wire 1st. Plus It has a tendency to rust around the edge, allows way too many particles to escape around the edge, and also allows water to stand around the edge getting your sink super nasty, if not noticed quickly.3) Is the plastic type strainer-These things are even more useless than #1 and #2 because not only do these allow water to stand around it when you've rinsed out the sink, it allows most of the food particles to collect around the perimeter of it instead of inside of it because it sits up too high around the drain. Should debris luckily make its way into the strainer part itself, the holes are entirely too big, so unless it's a huge piece of debris it's going to just travel right on through it, and right on down the drain.My Review of the AFANTY 2 PCS Kitchen Sink Strainer-It's made from a nice shiny stainless steel material (so far no issues with it rusting). The holes in the strainer are perfectly sized to catch the smallest of debris, but not to small where the water can't flow out. Just One quick tap on the trash can, and the debris empties out very easily, making clean up of these a snap. I love the design how it sits snugly over the drain hole, and unlike other strainers food doesn't get caught on the rim of it because they have a slightly rounded curve to them. LOL Just like a traffic cop directing traffic, the rounded design directs all the debris to travel right on into the strainer where it gets caught by all the small holes. I also like that it comes with the lids to help prevent the sewer gas smell from creeping in. Note: As long as you ensure it is sitting directly over the drain, and you don't move or shift it with your hand, ain't nothing getting past this bad boy. So far, I haven't found 1 thing that I dislike about these, and have even sent the link to 3 of my friends, as well as, my daughter because of how well they work.So, if you're looking for a good sink strainer you might want to give these a try because your search could then be permanently over, like mine now is.This is just my review as a regular customer who relies on other's honest reviews to chose my items. I get so tired of spending my money on products that don't work like they're suppose to do. (But that's not the case with these 😀) I hope my review of the reasons for the dislikes of the other strainer types, along with my review of these helps you to decide, so you don't waste your time/money buying multiple wrong types first, like I did.

Sink strainer/stoppers are a very fundamental tool everyone needs, but they aren't always the easiest to find or those you find don't last very long...These days lots of plastic parts, so I was very skeptical of getting sight unseen a decent online replacement that was actually a good fit and truly worked for stopping the water from leaking.I've never tried one that uses the center hole for holding it in. This to my surprise is actually a great concept and better than that, these actually work very well at holding the water in.The strainer and clip are all metal, the rubber piece fits my standard sink well. The clip is riveted to the bottom of the strainer and appears to be flawless riveting work.Time will tell for sure on how well these hold up, but right now I have zero disappointment.Shipping was super fast, promised a Monday delivery after a Friday night ordering and received a day early on Sunday instead.Product was individually wrapped, then packaged together in a small box, then placed inside a Amazon bubble pouch for transit.Couldn't be a happier customer. Received this two pack and only one forms a seal that actually keeps water in the sink. They are basic and the other one works fine. Medium Quality - but you get what you pay for.

I was expecting a thin but totally useable strainer like the one I had for about 8 years -- which mysteriously disappeared. I was not excited to have to buy a new strainer and pretty much just say "yeah, that will work" What a difference! This strainer is sturdy, very sturdy. Fits perfectly and hugs the drain ring preventing any accidental little pieces of food or debris from getting down in there.I am very pleased with these strainers. Now, if they last like the last really flimsy one, 8 years plus...I have enough strainers for 24 years! (I'm 70...I'm all set I guess)

I bought this set of sink stoppers in 2021 and they worked perfectly. I bought a replacement set of supposedly the same product from same vedor ("Afanty") a week ago, and they are not the same.The spring clip on the original (left photo) is thicker metal, with a wider angle. It holds its shape and makes a seal.The current product (on right) has a spring clip that is thinner material, it compresses, and does not hold to form a seal. The latter is useless as a stopper. The seller is foisting a cheaper knockoff of inferior build.

I bought the 2 piece kitchen sink strainer for 2 different sinks. Both let the water drain, but I could not get either one to hold water. Couldn't figure out why there were so many 5 star reviews and mine were not working. So I messed with one of them. So easy. I took my pliers and tightened the spring clip. In the picture, the one on the right has been tightened so that the clip fits in the hole easier and tighter. It holds water now and is easy to loosen to drain!

The metal part that pushes into the slot in the drain would not stay conformed to the slot & popped out as soon as I took my finger off of it. No amount of pushing could keep them in place. Seem very sturdy but too sturdy to stay in place. I sent them back.

Bought 2 pack for double sink. Old ones had rusted away after 20 years. These work great.

Very well made and fits just right. Was using the dollar store mesh strainers and these made a huge difference.
